Well done. There is a very realistic chance for Northern Ireland to finally qualify for the world cup again. |

Did anyone see Boruc's mistake?! That was crazy. |

YV, thanks but I don't think we'll qualify as our two hardest games away to poland and Czech Republic are still to come. Disastrous defeats away to Slovenia and Slovakia will probably do for us in the end. As for the fighting, according to the BBC most of that was due to hardcore Polish football hooligans without tickets. Apparently they are have a bad reputation for trouble at away games. Nothing like that has ever happened between NI fans/people and away suporters before. Very sad. And as for the Polish keeper... http://james.nerdiphythesoul.com/bennyhillifier/?id=klcTnGeVIoE |

you know your career is in the shit when you get dropped for the next match against the mighty San Marino.. |

Holly, think positive. They won today :) |

what was the final score with Poland v San Marino? i gave up when it got to 10-0 |
YourValentine 02.04.2009 09:36 |
And England won last minute vs The Ukraine because loyal ex national team captain Beckham shot one of his trademark dream passes and made the goal possible. It looked like the audience for once was happy to see him play. |

A great result for Northern Ireland allright! I only realised today it was a qualifier and not a friendly. The 80s are back! Northern Ireland winning matches and hooliganism! Cheers. |

We struggle to beat diddy teams such as Iceland, get humped by great teams such as Holland, our fans are having pics taken of them kissing women police officers and our "star" midfielder and team captain gets well drunk along with our other "star" keeper. Great days............ [/img] |

Thanks YV, I'm enjoying it while it lasts, but since everyone will beat San Marino home and away, here's the real group table: ---------------------PL -- PTS SLOVAKIA ------- 6 --- 15 SLOVENIA ------- 8 --- 14 N IRELAND ------ 7 --- 13 CZECH REP ------ 7 --- 11 POLAND ---------- 6 --- 10 SAN MARINO ----10 ---- 0 Reckon Slovakia will run away with the group and we will only qualify or make a play-off (possibly against the Republic of Ireland!) if we win 2 out of our last 3 games. Still it's sweet to be at the top of the table ... until September anyway :) |

I really hope Scotland qualify. It's priceless watching them self-destruct in the finals of competitions. Or at least it was until they stoped qualifying. C'mon Scotland! Qualify so I can fall about laughing when you get beat 3-1 by some team from a south pacific island with a population of less than a hundred. As for Engur-land, wtf hapened to you lot? England actually looks like a professional football team, instead of a bunch of overpaid nancy boys. I predict semi-final agony once again though, probably on penalties. |
