I'm sorry about that, the info i had said it was originally MP3
if they were MP3 I could put them on my iPod and listen, but flacs I'd have to listen to through my PC... which has a broken sound card
MP3 for personal use is fine, really. As long as you don't share any lossy files here or somewhere else, it's no problem.
If you have the original FLAC files, you can easily transfer them yourself to a lossy format. Enough free software programs are available by just a quick search on Google :)
First, download from here - the master tape from the taper himself: link
Then I'd convert the FLAC files to WAV (with FLAC Frontend) and change the iTunes setting to lossless before converting to m4a. The difference is definitely noticable if you have good headphones, especially on non-professional recordings like this.
