According to Queen Online, this is probably due May/June. Well, is it or not?
It takes quite a bit of planning and scheduling to get such an item on the shelves. So, is it happening or not? They would know by now.
Could it be that the whole crap idea has been aborted due to the shit sales of Vol. 1?
Maybe they'll release it anyway as a marketing exercise (to keep the brand in the public eye).
What a disgraceful end to a once proud band.
Top 100 bootlegs - stalled at about 30
2008 tour downloads - stopped after three weeks
DVD-Audio - 2 down, none planned.
OTR books - first album done, no more added since.
They have a long history of losing interest in ideas...personally I'm still waiting for Queen's 2nd EP...
personally, i'm waiting to complet my GVH Collection. it's very hard to find a reason why it's taking so loooooooooong to realese GVH 3 on DVD.
GVH 1 - 2001
GVH 2 - 2003
GVH 3 - ? (in case no-one have noticed, we're in 2009)
it was good to think that it would be realesed in 2005, with a 2 year gap between them, and that was, in my opinion, the right to do. but it's been almost a decade since GVH 1 was realesed , and still no news about it. i'm anxious to hear thoose Innuendo and Made In Heaven tracks in 5.1... ups 4.1.

It's pretty obvious what happened. They got greedy and tried to spread the videos across as many releases as they could, then it suddenly dawned on them that the 3rd installment would be rubbish. So it's difficult for them to know what to do now - coz what could go on there isn't gonna help sell it much. And QP are only interested in top sellers. At the end of the day, they should have releases all the videos together - or 2 at the very most.

QPL has .... AGAIN made a big mistake by releasing a product wich - what they think - would sell to hordes
of retarded people wich would be "blind" and buy these cd-single-box-sets. Hey QPL !!! it's 2009 !!!
This time they've actually managed to just piss over ALL and everything what has been established by our
loved group "Queen" ..... This time the public as well has NO REASON to buy such box-set...... and 'twould
be stupid for a regular music-fan not to buy either GH1,2.&3 /Platinum Collection or ALL the albums (even better) Instead of the singles ...my opinion though!
Other than that it's very clear that they don't give a shit about their fans and QOL/QZ even less ...Hi Greg !
IF they don't sell enough of No1 this boxset will not continue .... that's EMI for you , deaf, dumb and blind !
How can releasing product, regardless of what it is, be 'not giving a shit about the fans'?
See there's a difference between FAN and OBSESSIVE FAN. An obsessive fan wants everything in a neat little package just the way they want it... like Hangman in a wooden collectors box for ten bucks with a letter from Queen inside. A fan ponders which item he'd like to add to his/her collection and moves on.
I don't really see what the big deal is here. Bands put out a lot of crap. Metallica has their own Skull Candy headphones. They're $5 more just because THE PACKAGE says Metallica, not the headphones. So what? I prefer the Shure Iso ear buds, so I passed on the $5 surcharge. Does that make me less a Metallica fan? Does Kill 'Em All sound differently because I'm not wearing the Metallica packaged headphones?
I bought the box set. I already had all the material. If they release V2, I'll probably buy that as well. Why did I buy it? I didn't go to the store specifically to buy it, I simply couldn't find anything else on the racks that really grabbed my attention. I probably won't even listen to all the CDs. But I've got at least 50 different Queen CD singles already, what's a few more gonna do, ruin me?
Well , I don't understand what's so hard to understand about this ...
You never get sick of eating the same sandwich everyday ? without variation - all the time you knew
there was much more choice in the fridge ? wouldn't you want something else you haven't had yet ?

A bit like reading your same old, day in day out posts.
Since you 'have' been in contact with Brian himself talk to him about it, and you have info on how QPL works bring it up with them too.
