^ you sure that Hayle hotel gig with The Reaction isnt in Cornwall? it would explain how he ended up in a Cornish hospital afterwards and not a London one?
yea , a day off in 1983 ...they we're spending the afternoon in Brian's non-smokers-pub behind the purple hills
in the middle of nowhere in "Nowhereland" miles away from anyway [/img]

You are probably right, I just copied the whole page from queendiary.com. Martin does not have this concert listed on his page, so it's maybe not confirmed.

just seemed a little odd to me.
Hayle is just down the road from me,as is the hospital and the name of the hotel is as Cornish as they come, and being that The Reaction were a Cornish band seemed weird to me that they would travel all the way to London to play at a Cornish sounding venue and then end up in a Cornish hospital in Truro after the crash..
perhaps ive seen too many episodes of Monk recently lol

Martin has this concert listed under 24th January, does it mean that this date was confirmed (by who...)?
Thanks Joxer, London was redundant in this information. I am not so familiar with the UK topography :)
Libor, I only meant it's maybe not sure when or where the concert took place. "Confirmed" would be if a ticket, a newspaper ad or something like this had survived. You are right- Martin has the concert under another date and town, so one of you is wrong:) It was not my intention to criticise your website, on the contrary - initially I wanted to promote it with my post :)

I didn't mean it badly, sorry if it resulted that way. It is a big problem to find any confirmation clue for such events. Usually one information is spread over the 'whole' internet, initially coming from one source.
I am trying to be as much accuate as possible, but it never be 100%.
And of course, thanks for the promotion, appreciated! :)
the next time i go to Hayle i shall pop into the hotel and enquire whether or not they have any posters, payment reciepts or ticket stubs from that night as proof of performance by The Reaction

Any slip of paper with some sort of proof would be an amazing souvenir :)
