"up long"-up the hill
"down long"-down the hill
theres no grey area with the cornish,its either up the hill or down the hill

I'm interested in how they define "extinct" when they admit there are about 300 people who still speak it.
especially when theres classes now to learn it and shops like ASDA and Tesco are putting signs in Cornish on their buildings
plus Kerrier Council have spent a small fortune doing the road signs in Cornish around here.I dont want to know how much its cost them to change the road sign for THE GUE to AN GUE in the village but no doubt i will find out next month when i get my new council tax statement..
