AC/DC certainly has better riffs and a much more pure style of hard rock, but everywhere else they are outclassed a little to a lot by Queen.
BETTER riffs?
AC/DC has SIMPLER riffs. I think Let There Be Rock is just blues scale up and down. Depending on how much Australian beer you have in you, it may be more appropriate to the mood... but BETTER? Nah.
And did you even notice the "vs" in the title was in the sense of "remix", not "who's better?!" Jesus, people, you need to take some boxing classes, vent the aggression...
Well, AC/DC (Angus in particular) can write a catchier, more memorable riff than Brian. Is it simpler? If it is, then maybe Brian overthinks his playing too much.
Hells Bells, Back In Black, You Shook Me, all much more "famous" than anything Brian ever did.
In fact, Brian's most "famous" starting lick is probably Tie Your Mother Down. Let's not accuse AC/DC of being too simple, as TYMD is about as easy as it gets. If you can play five simple chords, you can master TYMD fairly quickly.
are you saying angus is better than brian?....if you are I disagree, though your right about the riff part. Don't forget stoned cold crazy, that's a pretty legendary riff. Queen are better. the bass, the drums are better, the vocals are also better. Way more styles of playing. the only close one is the guitar, and brian even wins that.
I only listened to one ACDC song and I thought it was just like they where screaming, (probably as I am so used to queens style of music). After that I didnt listen to them again untill my dad put them on... now I only enjoy their music when its turned up exra loud...[/img]
That's not a bad remix. Funny how people just read the topic and don't take a single look at the post itself, only to change the subject. AC/DC is great, mindless fun. They're music isn't particularly intelligent and they don't even try to be. Great band but I don't like much of the post-Bon Scott stuff. I cringe when people call them heavy metal. "Hard rock" is acceptable but I consider them glorified pop rock, or maybe "hard pop". But like one person said, Angus Young made memorable riffs.
