Which was to you the best concert? |
Vali 14.01.2009 07:51 |
it has been reported that Milano, Madrid, the later UK gigs (specially Wembley) and Buenos Aires were some of the hottest ones |

The Chile concert was at the same level!, even slightly better!, the audience was hot and the guys played really inspired. We only didn't have "under pressure" but i would say the Santiago de Chile concert was one of the best of the tour if not the best "fighting" only with the buenos aires one. |

Buenos Aires, great setlist, biggest(not counting Ukraine) and loudest crowd. |

I was only mentioning "some" of the hottest gigs (both Milano and Madrid reported by Brian himself in his soapboax, and Buenos Aires .... well .... 45.000 people at Velez Stadium, need I say more?) I'm sure Santiago was great, no doubt about it, I've watched and listened to the show and I wish I'd been there .... but I'm also sure some of our friends from Argentina will disagree with you when saying that Santiago was better than Buenos Aires. Oh, and you can't never say "this or that show was the best of the tour" ... when you haven't attended, for example, the European gigs. Did you ? When you have attended a show the impact is so strong that you go back home thinking "this has been the best gig of history!!" .... but I'm conveinced the same you believe about Santiago is what the guys attending Glasgow, Liverpool, Belgrade, Buenos Aires or Sao Paulo believe. I was just only saying "some of the reported hottest ones" cheers |

lol, no i'm not offended at all!! . But sure, if you ask people only from argentina of course they'll say the concert there was better. They make more noise in this forum. I guess the only people who can really judge would be the few people who attended both concerts. Oh and also I read some time ago on the queenonline forum that a guy came from europe to see both Chile and Argentina concerts (i saw him before the concert too!! ). So maybe a guy from europe who has seen some concerts there and then came to south america could judge better about this. PD: Karkhov was better only becouse of the audience???, 200.000, 15.000 or 45.000 people screaming doesn't make a concert better than the other. |

Argentina was the best performance for Paul Rodgers & Brian May only. The Roger performance was poor in the bass solo and drum solo. great performance in under pressure. great concert. |

I attended to both shows, For me Chile was better (I'm argentinian), better sound, the lights worked better, the perfomance was inmaculate... and the audience delivered a lot of noise in a healthy way (not at the level of Argentina, wich was, in some moments, really annoying... I mean a lot of people screamed the lyrics in your ear instead of "singing" the songs... ) and It was a real hysteria in the first 20 minutes. The 2 things that make me feel that Argentina was better were: 1) Under Pressure... (one of..) the highlight of the show. 2) the place was electric... Im sure that the foreingers shitted in their pants several times during the concert... the people were CRAZY. Brian and Roger faces in some parts of the show says it all... doesn't matter if they have 40 years of live experience... I was in front row, in the center to the b-stage and I can still feel the pain in my chest. Cheers. |

I cant believe that someone is judging a perfomance as BAD because of the joke of hitting the bass with a drumstick.. |

I don't think that you should take the concert in Ukraine into consideration. It was in the open air and half the people who were there were just some passers-by who happened to be there or who were driven by the sound. Actually they were standing so far away that they couldn't hear anything properly and were just talking to each other. That's what I heard of the show. |

best concert= chile |

I can imagine Buenos Aires or Santiago de Chile were among the best concerts. For me one of the highlights was Zurich - not as cold audience as I expected, a sold-out gig, nice setlist and great sound. Prague was nice (big sold-out venue), Milan was good too. |

Parochial bullshit again. I went to only one gig - Birmingham. It was great. |

I only went to one concert as well, Cardiff, and it was amazing! |

Moscow concert was the best cause it was the first. The band acted more naturally, not that automatically after so many concerts. |

It amazes me that some people can say QPR are crap when they never bothered to go to a show to find out. They would be very surprised. Then again, some people can never be told anything... |

I went to 2 concerts in the UK, Nottingham and Sheffield. Out of the two, Nottingham was by far the best as a lot of mistakes were made at Sheffield. There's nothing like watching a live gig. So for me, Nottingham...... |

I was at the Milan gig: it was fantastic! Paul and Brian were in very good shape, the music was amazing, the audience made a loud noise. Only the set list was a bit poor. I think that it was really a beautiful show! Tony My webpage |

The Glasgow gig wasn't too shabby either i must say. I cant remember a single missed note. Brian was outstanding and flawless in his solo/bijou/last horozon. HOWEVER, the venue is atrocious for Concerts. No wonder they refused to use it in '05. |

I was at Cardiff. Great gig. What did it for me besides the buzz was seeing Neil Murray on bass.!!! To step in at the last minute was awesome!! Shades of the Brian May Band with Roger on drums springs to mind. Much better gig than 2005 - more polished and Paul finding his feet. |
