Reuters reports Franken will be announced as the winner in the Minnesota Senatorial contest by state officials, having won with a narrow 225-vote lead. The Republican candidate will likely challenge the result, his campaign team has announced. Franken, a noted satirist, is the candidate for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party. His victory would enlarge the Democratic Senate majority to 58.
...and I might as well remove the question mark from the topic title now: CNN reports that the Supreme Court won't hold up an appeal by Coleman. Al Franken is now Senator for Minnesota, bringing the democratic majority in the Senate to 58.
I suppose if Franken and Ben Stein ran for president and vp (as unlikely as that is for sooo many reasons) you would have the Franken-Stein ticket. Would be in with a chance too: would appeal to Mummies, for example.
