Perhaps from now on when the messages appear on the screen about not making own sound effects and switching off mobile phones during the film, "please lay down your arms" will be tacked onto the end.

That might be something to do with the fact that "News Value" = "Sensation Value"...and has for several centuries, too.

I'm for it, but so long as news services are (of necessity) motivated by a drive for profit and sheer numbers of readers/viewers/listeners, nothing will change there. Perhaps the internet will change something there in the long run, but I doubt it.
