hello Greg, we know that you are in work with of some things that we think are treasure, like Demos, unreleased, unfinished songs, recorded video's [gigs]... and we all want to let you know what real Queen fan wants to be released in 2009 and beyond. We do not want re-re-re-re-re-release of Greatest Hits, or re-re-re-release of Bohemian Rhapsody, WATC, WWRY... What we really want is something like this: [listu] [li]Queen gigs on DVD from 70's [/listu] [listu] [li]Greatest Video Hits 3 (promised long time ago) [/listu] [listu] [li]Queen demo cd with the demos (without your voice "Property of Queen productions") [/listu] [listu] [li]Queen unreleased songs - finished songs that are kept in, like songs from Innuendo album that didnt make on album, and from other albums, you can make for example cd with unreleased and unheard Queen songs before! [/listu] and that's it. now without any spoofing this topic... if it's possible, for once we can all join in together and create list of things that we, Queen fans think it's important to be released... and we can all forward this to Brian if Greg doesent want to do that... thanks, |

What we really want is something like this: [listu] [li]Queen gigs on DVD from 70's [/listu] GB: That would be great. I'm sure such releases will happen. They are often discussed because everyone I work with loves that material as much or more than you do. It might or might not surprise you to know that the band members are very fond of those old concerts too. So I would expect them to emerge on DVD at some point, to some extent, but I cannot put a time-frame on it. To do so would be pointless. [listu] [li]Greatest Video Hits 3 (promised long time ago) [/listu] GB: This hasn't been mentioned for a while. I dunno. I'm an Archivist, not a member of the band or their Manager. If it was decided that GH3 was to happen, I would be told and work accordingly. GH3 will emerge when they deem the time is right. I can't say more than that coz it isn't my business to, and I don't know anyway. If I did know, I probably couldn't say - as with things in the past and future - because like a million other people, I would not betray the trust of those I work with/for. It is a matter of integrity and reputation, not a choice I can make if I fancy it. I wish more people could get their head around that. Hey theCRO.... let's imagine YOU work for Lloyds Bank in London (a privileged position in amongst all the interesting data)..... Please tell me what products your bank will be offering in 2009. Tell me. Tell me right now, and don't be evasive and secretive. Tell me what the interest rate is planned to be for January 1st 2009. Come on theCRO, tell me right now please. I'm asking nicely. It's a "reasonable" question and only you know. If you won't tell me I will get very aggressive and nasty and say horrible things about you in my frustration. What mortgage rate and interest rates will your company be offering???????? What do Lloyds have in their archive? Tell us all. You "owe it" to us die hard banking fans to divulge all this info, just as you perceive it as your right for me to divulge the secrets of those I work for. [listu] [li]Queen demo cd with the demos (without your voice "Property of Queen productions") [/listu] GB: Will be on the Anthology box/boxes/CD/CDs/DVD/DVDs when they/it emerge. Dunno when though. Ionly know snippets of bits that I'm not allowed to discuss.... just like those Lloyds employees. [listu] [li]Queen unreleased songs - finished songs that are kept in, like songs from Innuendo album that didnt make on album, and from other albums, you can make for example cd with unreleased and unheard Queen songs before! [/listu] GB: As above mate. and that's it. now without any spoofing this topic... if it's possible, for once we can all join in together and create list of things that we, Queen fans think it's important to be released... and we can all forward this to Brian if Greg doesent want to do that... GB: How was that, you Queen fan you???? thanks, |

Hi Greg, Understand if you can't answer this but - sometime in the late 90s (maybe 99, definately a while after GH3 and EF), the Queen Fanclub said Rog and Brian had booked studio time to see what they could come up with. Did this ever happen? Also, there was some rumour around 2003 (again I think from the fanclub) that Rog and Bri had been adding BVs and tracks to 3 old songs. Again, any truth? Cheers, Simon |

I'm with Greg this time - I guess EVERYONE knows what we fans want. And it's already been made clear that Greg doesn't decide what'll be released, he just works on putting together the stuff the band (or their management) wants to release. But maybe the fact that "die hard banking fans" made me crack up laughing actually played an important role in making me feel like supporting Greg this time. |

Bah, seriously, I rather hear a new Queen + Paul Rodgers album than old crap that wasn't even good enough to be on Hot Space or The Works |

Again, any truth? You're talking about the Freddie / Michael Jackson collaboration ? Don't believe it was ever said exactly what was being worked on. I'm just looking for confirmation that they were actually working on (Freddie's) stuff that late. The 99 recordings I expect to be just Bri and Rog new stuff, but don't know if it ever actually happened. Oh, and while were at it, Greg if you come along here, was We Believe one of the 5 or 6 46664 songs that Brian mentioned once, or is it all brand new? Seems stylistically to fit with The Call and Invincible Hope very well. Simon |

FriedChicken wrote: Bah, seriously, I rather hear a new Queen + Paul Rodgers album than old crap that wasn't even good enough to be on Hot Space or The Works Not quite sure I'd put it that way, but I'd be quite happy to wait another 4 or 5 years for Queen rarities if it meant another 1 or 2 QPR albums, yes. Also, just because it didn't fit the album at the time, it doesn't automatically make it crap. I Go Crazy was a great song, but wasn't put on the album because of similarity to other tracks, not because of quality. As such, it became a b-side. I won't discuss the other unreleased songs, because then we're just moving into personal opinion and taste. Cheers! Simon |

Cheers Greg. It's nice to hear that the band do seem to appreciate the quality of, and the audience demand for, at least one (if not more) 70's concerts, to accopany the many gigs we already have that are all within a couple of years of each other. |

What mortgage rate and interest rates will your company be offering???????? On a 30 year fixed loan, January 1st 2009? I could get you a 5.000% rate. But you'd really have to lock-in today and arrange for your closing NOW. Most title agencies are booked on New Years Eve and are closing early. Ok, Greg, I've given you a fair and truthful answer. My question for you is NOT asking for you to divulge fact or any secrets. That will be left up to our interpretation. What video projects do you THINK will see the light of day in the next two years? |

The company I work for (a railroad supplier) keeps our customers informed of upcoming and potential new product offerings (for both large and small markets) and does not make empty or misleading promises concerning future products. Also, the company I work for does not put up with employees that repeatedly insult or provoke their customers. It is a pity that QPL does not value their "smaller" loyal customers, paticularly when many other rock bands cater to their smaller, loyal fanbase. It is also very sad that QPL tacitly approves the public trashing of some of their "unpleasant"customers by a high profile employee. QPL has a lot to learn about customer service. A reputable company does not condone mistreatment of customers (even if a rude customer deserves it). |

....other things in addition to above that I'd like to hear are the true "Extended" versions of album tracks such as the ones that Brian is doing a guitar solo into the fadeout and you really want to hear what happened next? Even in Hang On In There they are doing cool stuff into the fadeout....loved Roger's drums in that bit... Could they do a mix of Stealin' without the off-pitch falsetto Freddie does in the middle....take that out and it is a great track....gotta say though surprised it turned into a track at all when you hear the versions that didn't make the cut.... Other songs that really need to get out there are: the cool version of "See What A Fool I've Been" (ie Train to Georgia....not sounding like Rocky Horror Picture show),the 46664 stuff, and all the stuff that they have played at the conventions.... I would still rather have more Queen and Paul Rodgers for now though...(the other stuff is there that just needs to see the light of day), I'd rather have more new stuff created so we all have more overall....including QPR out-takes....hope there is a DVD of the 2008-2009 tour which could include the Ukraine and South American shows |

You never know what you might get if they revisit unreleased songs! "Too Much Love Will Kill You" is one of the best damned songs Queen ever did and THAT was originally discarded because it didn't fit the style they wanted on the Miracle album. I think I've made my point. |

Very mature, resorting to immature namecalling for him pointing out a fact that itself was BIG news this time around last year, when HD DVD indeed was ceased to be. |
