ok so in 2006 we heard a new song, take love, which everyone anticipated it to be on the new album...yet here we are nearly 2009, we have the new album, new tour almost over with, and not a sign of it anywhere as if it never existed, not even on paul rodgers solo tour did it appear.... what happened? it was a great song? |

Average song, IMHO. I think 80% of TCR is better. I went for a beer in the Las Vegas gig in 2006 during that song. I remember reports that they recorded it during the California part of the 2006 tour, so it could see the light of day sometime in the future. Cheers, Ogre- |

As the story goes, it was recorded for The Cosmos Rocks, but the band wasn't happy with the way it sounded, so they scrapped it. |

It was a terrible song, complete garbage |

masterstroke_84 wrote: Buying beer in a middle of a Queen concert... My God... LOL, I see your point. The thing is it was pretty easy to get out of my place and get back to it immediately. Just so you know, I live in Brazil and I flew in straight from a meeting in Trinidad and Tobago. I arrived just 2 hours before the gig. I needed a beer at some point :) Cheers, Ogre- |

I'd rather listen to Take Love than We Believe. |

I agree with Erin & I'll further her comment. Take Love was better than most of the garbage on TCR, even though it itself isn't that great of a song. |
QPRTOON 15.12.2008 17:06 |
i liked it, and i like some of the songs on TCR, some songs like Warboys i dont like, thing some are shit, but some i like and i liked Take Love :s |

loved the new album, like take love, when i spoke to brian in april he said and i quote haha 'yer we have recorded it, its not finished yet' so were it went from there is a mystery..... hopefully a single? |
AlexRocks 15.12.2008 20:45 |
I third that Erin! I do not like "We Believe". |

We Believe is on of the best songs from the TCR album |
Martin Packer 17.12.2008 05:11 |
"We Believe" takes off somewhere in the middle - like many of their songs on TCR. I think that's true of "Small" and "Say It's Not True" to name but two. And I like ALL of the tracks on TCR. Some more than others. I'm just so very glad to have them. |
Mlaimo 23.12.2008 16:46 |
TCR is a Paul Rodgers solo album with Brian and Roger. There is virtually no 'Queen' on this album, unfortunately. BM's solo albums are much more Queen than TCR. |

You don't find anything of that in any Roger solo album, so: an album by Roger + Paul + little input from Brian = very little Queen (I mean "Freddie" Queen) sound Anyway, I liked the album since it was released, and I listened to TCR again yesterday after a couple of weeks without doing it and I E-N-J-O-Y-E-D it more than ever. And you can find Queen sounds in Cosmos Rockin'; and many more in Still Burnin'; and many more in We Believe. Just my opinion |

I also enjoy even more the album each time I go back to listen to it. You are also rigth about the reasons for the different sound of the album. If the information that came trough to us is correct, it had less input from Brian than usually. That made the album sound less "queenie" than we would have wanted it too. Anyway, I thank God each and every day that they even consider recording and touring at this stage of their lives. "Rock'n'roll never die!!!" ROTFLMAOCOPTER. :) Cheers, Ogre- |

It's good to see some positive comments on We Believe. I enjoy that song greatly. I had such low expectations of this track when I heard the first 30 second clip but when I heard it in full I loved it and have done ever since. Maybe it's because English is not my native language that the preachy lyrics don't bother me at all. I love the build up that leads to the chorus and the chorus itself. Favorite tracks from day one: Cosmos Rockin', Time to Shine, We Believe and Some things that Glitter. Tracks that grew on me: Small, Surf's Up and, to a lesser degree, Through the Night. small reprise is a perfect ending to a great album. I hope they make a new album, maybe with more input from Brian now. |

I would rank my faves like this, even though Through the Night is getting more plays than any of them nowadays: 1 - Some Things That Glitter 2 - Surf's Up / Still Burning (tie) 4 - Runaway (iTunes exclusive) 5 - Cosmos Rocking 6 - C-lebrity 7 - Through the Night 8 - Say it's not true 9 - Voodoo 10 - Small 11 - Call me 12 - Time to Shine, Warboys, We Believe, Small Reprise (Tie) |

We Believe is one of the most beautiful new songs I've heard in a long time, and one of Queen's most beautiful songs ever. |

For those saying "TCR" sounds like a Paul Rodgers solo album, well, you clearly haven't heard any solo albums by Rodgers. |

Finally somebody who know Paul's work :) Sounds more like Roger's work to me, but songs like We Believe or Through The Night could end up on any of Brian's albums |

After reading your comments, I could imagine some PR fans moaning on a forum... "Queen PLUS PAUL RODGERS my ass, this sounds like a fucking Queen album, except it's got Paul's voice!" |
Drummer imense! 29.12.2008 20:36 |
Good point well made Raf! I have to say that this certainly doesn't sound like a PR solo project, it's not nearly as bluesy as his material. |

Well, It have a Lot of Roger ( composition wise) and Brian (producing/arrangig). It sounds like Queen and, most important, have a lot of great Songs. One of them goes straight to the pantheon of Queen(and related) best ballads: Small. Roger's in great shape. Cosmos Rockin' Is a Great Rock Tune, It could be a nº1 hit if it had Freddie on vocals, and could opened a period of trad. Rock revival if the band had the 4 members. On and on, it is just a matter of people(and press) doesn't wanting to give a chance on this album. I offered copies of this album to friends. Some didn't listen, as much as i insist ( and as much as it is easy to put on car cd player). Some of them gave it a listen and... totally love it! Freddie die hards will kill me but i even have 2 friends who spot listening Queen album 'cos they're a bit tired of Freddie "Style", and got really hooked by this album(even making copies to other friends , and stuff like that). |
