Rufus Taylor to play at Royal Variety Show with Brian May
| robyns 11.12.2008 07:43 |
It's true! Rufus will be playing the drums in the band that backs Kelly Ellis on the Royal Variety Show which airs on BBC1, December 17th. The band also includes Dr. Brian May, Neil Murray, Steve Sidwell and Jeff Leach. Should be an amazing show!! BTW...Rufus is the youngest person to ever play at the Royal Variety Show! Congrats to him! Check out the picture at: link |

Which one is Rufus in the picture? |
| Penetration_Guru 11.12.2008 16:46 |
Isn't it obvious? Not Brian May, not Kerry Ellis, not Neil Murray. Leaves three people. One of whom is young & blonde. |

Very cool. I hope Rufus makes his dad proud. |

This is the first I've heard of Rufus Taylor. Is he any good? |
| Flush_Gurdun 11.12.2008 18:06 |
I bet Rufus bangs Kerry Ellis after the show. Like father like son. |

Excuse me, where have you heard Rufus sing? I'd really like to have a listen. Especially because I like his elder half-brother Felix's voice - very reminiscent of their father's, but slightly different. |

It's not because you're the son of one of the best rock drummers in the world, you have the same abilities and talent. Rufus has a lot of things to prove behind his drumkit. He's not Roger. But I know more than thousands people who would like to stand in his shoes...I mean, playin' with Brian May & Neil Murray.... THAT'S AN EXPERIENCE !!!!! |

Look for Felix and Arty on MySpace Music to hear Rufus's voice. |

Like I said a couple years ago when that song of theirs came out, his voice is a nice mixture of his Dad's as well as Sting (from "The Police"). He doesn't have the Rod Stewart quality to him :P but that's OK :-) |

Come back and say that again when you have a record....or a new non-neo-classical instrumental (read: VOCAL) song for that matter. And one that doesn't feature an overhyped old pedophile on vocals. |

Rufus Taylor's voice is...not even close to Roger Taylor or Brian May. The only reason you are talking about him, and posted this horrible video is because hes' the son of Roger Taylor. |

Rufus is a cutie....Hope he does well... link |

Yes, he's quite bouncy, really. |

I heard them at the voyal variety long before i read here that it was Rogers son. I really liked his drumming style, not at all like his fathers style...... dare i say it, Rufus has perhaps a better style. |
