Since people were complaining about the lack of information given out by brazilian fans, I decided to write a review of the gig that took place on November 27th, in São Paulo.
The show started around 22:00 with The Cosmos Rocks intro trape. Then, there was the Surf's Up...School's Out intro tape right until the scream, and that was when the band entered the stage. It's needless to say that the crowd went wild. Hammer to Fall was played first in a short version, followed by TYMD. I must confess that when I first read that HTF was being used as the intro, I wasn't very keen about it. But after hearing it live my opinions have changed and it was, for me, one of the show's highlights. Next came Fat Bottomed Girls, AOBTD, I Want It All, and IWTBF. The arena was filled with people (I believe the concert was sold out) and everyone was singing their hearts out. The band then played a couple of songs from "The Cosmos Rocks" (C-lebrity and Surf's Up...School's Out), Brian introduced Paul (speaking some portuguese) and he performed an amazing rendition of Seagull (PR was on fire!).
Then, Brian came back on stage (wearing a "neckerchief" given to him by a fan earlier that day) to perform Love Of My Love, introducing it as "the song that Brazil created"and asking the audience to sing it for Freddie. After that Roger joined Brian on stage and '39 was introduced as an "ancient Brazilian folk song". Somewhere in between LOML and '39 we were told that we are "the best singers in the world" and during '39 Brian said "we have a problem because you guys sing so beautifully, so perfectly, that we'll need reinforcements!" and Jamie, Danny and Spike joined in to finish the song. By the time Roger's drum solo began the arena had grown incredibly hot, and even Roger complained ("Ta muito calor" he said, which means "It's very hot (in here)"). His drum solo was followed by IMILWMC and AKOM, which displayed excellent guitar work by Brian. Say It's Not True was played and next came Feel Like Makin' Love (featuring pictures of Paul throughout his career) instead of Bad Company, which was played on the previous night. After that We Believe was played and it was followed by Brian's guitar solo, Bijou and Last Horizon. Under Pressure drove the crowd wild once again, and everyone clapped their hands to Radio Gaga (PR, however, forgot some of the lyrics). Brian used a different guitar for CLTCL ( a RS filled with drawings/pictures of stars and planets) and everybody sang along loudly to TSMGO. Freddie then appeared on screen for BoRap (driving the audience nuts) and there was the encore break. For the encore, Brian was wearing shorts and a green shirt written Brasil on it. Cosmos Rockin' made most people jump and dance around, followed by a good rendition of All Right Now, even though Paul's voice displayed signs of tiredness. WWRY and WATC featured massive audience participation (PR forgot some of the lyrics in WWRY) and finally GSTQ closed an amazing, "dream-like" concert.
