Hi Richard, thanks a lot for your time. I just wanted to correct you that the title of a thread disappears when the author edits the first post in that thread. |

Thanks Richard! Could you do something about my problem described here? -> link Thanks in advance! |
pittrek 26.11.2008 04:07 |
... and a small humble request - it would be great if I could know which PMs did I already reply to, is it possible to do it ? |
Richard Orchard 26.11.2008 09:24 |
yes to all. I will sort these out as a top priority. Thanks, Richard |

I think found another problem, concerning attached files. It seems they are stored with their filename only, so an attached file kind overwrites files with the same name in other posts. Just download Glasgow_front/back.jpg from http://www.queenconcerts.com/queenzone/1104173.html and you will see what I mean. The files you get were posted later in http://www.queenconcerts.com/queenzone/1139608.html Thanks for all your work and taking care of the bugs! |

Some people do not get my private messages, so I assume I might not get theirs, no idea why (maybe it depends on the browser?) Sometimes but not always I get an error message when I answer to a private message but the reply works when I delete the message I am answering to from the reply page.. I have a private message in the "say hi" section of my profile which the sender (who posted it there accidentally) and myself both cannot delete. Could you delete it, please? The tracker...sometimes torrents just do not start but it's totally unclear why. We never know if it's the fault of the seeder who made a mistake or if something is wrong with the tracker. When people post 2 torrents with no problem but the 3rd does not work I assume something is wrong with the tracker but I do not know how to check it. Profile update and profile picture upload do not seem to work. Thank you for your unlimited patience :) |

Thank you for your unlimited patience :) I think I can answer to the first thing - if the original post contains some special characters, like quotes(") or an ampersand, it gets converted to HTML escape sequence. But you can't SEND this "escape sequence" because it gets understood as an attempt to send HTML. Just find a "weird" string (usually starting with an ampersand) and delete it, it will work |

When I want to reply to a topic, it asks me now to enter a subject line! |

Bugs I can remember so far: Everytime a file is saved, it kind of "loses" most of its name, mostly if it is a big name with spaces (don't remember what happens with short named files). If let's say it's called "the game.mp3" the browser (FF3) thinks I'm trying to save a file named "the", without any extension or reference of the kind of the file. I have to save it as is and then rename it. Happens with all kinds of attachments, from JPGs to .torrent. Subject line - if it's required, it should at least appear in the post. Search - Everything in the results appears to be truncated - articles (or interviews, can't remember) have just part of their text. Can't edit at all - it says I'm not logged in and asks for a new login but it doesn't work. The test-test-test thing, probably in placement of headers and/or footers. Despite all the effort to keep this going, I still think that using a package like phpBB or whatever suits the database used would be much easier and better to manage. |

private messages should be working now - for everyone. Let me know. The "say hi" feature is different from the personal messages. i will sort out a way for people to delete ones they don't want. |

hi, I should have fixed the "editing" issue. I forgot how the forum works in places.... And broke something, when sorting out the "subject line" thing. |

YOU CAN'T WRITE A NEW TOPIC WITH A TITLE !!!!! |
Marcos Napier 30.11.2008 10:59 |
Great, now the topic subject disappeared for good. |
Richard Orchard 30.11.2008 11:11 |
posting new topics allows you to put in the subject line. editing the first topic, allows you to change the subject. replies to a topic, don't give you a "subject" field. |
