I have created the official Facebook group for this cause, of course titled "Fast for Freddie". I would love you to join!! |

Freddie just emailed me from *beyond* and says thanks for all the well-wishers. He comes to Queenzone quite often, but just can't post... due to that whole 'other-dimension-non-disclosure Act' thingy. |

Freddie, People of your kind of talent, charisma, eccentricity, and unexpected brilliance are not something that you see every day. Not only did you have one of the strangest and loveliest voices I've heard, but you were also a great musician and composer with an uncanny sense of what *worked* (for desperate lack of a better word). Your music makes me happy in a way that no other music does, and has GREATLY influenced my taste in what I listen to. I wish I could have known of you while you were alive. You went too soon, but you were still on this earth long enough to leave a legacy that is not forgotten, nor will be anytime soon. In short - you rock. Thank you. Rest in peace. Holly |

FREDDIE & THE COSMOS: 17 Years on from his passing and thanks to his talents the band's legacy has grown by leaps and bounds. I know I miss him a great deal every single day. But I feel strongly that "the show must go on". Queen has always been a surprising artist giving us so many great songs. Now part of the ethereal rather than our physical world, Freddie's impact is part of everything Queen continues to do. Paul Rodgers has joined with Brian and Roger to create some fresh rock n roll tunes no other combo could pull off. I am very hapy they did so! Freddie will always be missed because his talents were immense. "We Are The Champions" is a rock standard no one has matched! "Bohemian Rhapsody" is without question a pop/rock masterpiece. I think as much as people trash Queen w/o Fred, they are also some of the same folks who were not big on them back in the day. As a fan I am thrilled Brian & Roger forged ahead with Paul Rodgers. They joined creatively with someone who could play music on par with a legacy that demands only top form. Free and Bad Company were solid rock units. Paul Rodgers has a style that works well with Queen. On this day, NOV 24th, Queen fans lost Freddie, but we did not lose a band called Queen. For that I am most thankful! Freddie is rocking the Cosmos..........The Comos Rocks..........indeed. SEE YA ON TOUR in USA! |

So much talent...it still hurts, seems like he left just yesterday. So badly missed. Where have the years gone?Freddie's voice and Brian's guitar have helped me stay sane (relatively sane anyway) in an insane world and through insane circumstances. Never met Freddie but it feels like I've lost a dear friend. That voice just makes everything better. Miss you. |

November 24,1991. Seventeen years ago today the music world lost the best of the best.Freddie Mercury was (is) the most awe-inspiring ,creative music genius to grace any of the world's stages. So many adjectives have been used to describe Freddie and his stunning talent. Outrageous, unpredictable, flamboyant, as well as shy generous and genuinely funny. We love you Freddie for all the things you were and the musical legacy you left for us. You are totally irreplaceable. Forever young. Forever with us. |
Anna Melina 25.11.2008 14:17 |
I also miss(ed) you (yesterday) so much, Freddie. To hear your music becomes more and more touching every day. I've found an article, that tells about a wow in the german AIDS research: http://www.zeit.de/online/2007/27/aids-rekombinasen perhaps they've found something, although they warn against to much euphoria... Thank you all for your postings, its consoling. In Love Annakarenina |

I had the chance once to meet Freddie right after Queen's last night of the recording of the Work's album here in L.A. You cannot believe how wonderfully sweet he was. It's still a terrible feeling of loss for a band that made life so much more pleasurable. I miss him terribly. We still need more to help with the cure. We will prevail and someday we will see the end. You are still so missed. |

Freddie, You thought no one cared about you when the curtains went down, but in fact you were wrong. Your life, your music and your graceful spirit have transcended to your fans and those who continue to love you so any years after have left this earth. The stardom you received in your life as well as the personal agony of AIDS, continues to bring awareness and has personalized this dreaded disease. Your death is not in vain. You will be remembered for a great many things, not only your music but for your kind heart as well. A unique soul and the most gifted vocalist ever. You quietly gave to so many, in the name of charity. Your name may be synonomous with Queen and hits that you wrote and sang, however your lasting legacy of good will and unselfish giving are also byproducts of your life. A life which was well lived, celebrated and brought joy to so many in varying ways. You once said, "I wont be a star, I'll be a legend." Truer words have never been spoken. |
