Thanks a lot dear Pittrek, I didn't have this one ! By the way, Bob says on his website that the recording plays a semitone too fast, do you have a version wih correct speed, or have you corrected the speed yourself ? Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |

Thank you very much!! |

As you said in the Request Forum when I requested it and after listening some bits of 1st part, this is from a high generation. (at least higher than mine cause I don't know where is the limit between high & low!) I have a part of a lower generation downloaded from the hub, but no idea if it's a 1st gen like on Bob's site (but it runs too fast...). I can post a sample, so if someone confirm it's the first gen, I can post the part I have (till Dragon Attack) and if anyone could finish the job, it could be fantastic! |

The speed of this version sounds correct to me. No, I didn't play with it, these are exactly the same files which I downloaded either here or in the hub some time ago. |

Yes, I know, but FaBu (if I recall correctly) wanted also this version, so I posted it. Creating a multi-source compilation shouldn't be a problem at all |

Hi Pittrek, Thanks a lot again for this share. I tried to analyse the files as usual, but for CD2 Trader Little Helper says that "files are truncated or otherwise corrupt". Could you please check if you have the same problem on your side ? Strangely, CD1 is not corrupt. If you have the same problem, I think we'll have to ask for someone to share the lowest gen version maybe. Thanks a lot ! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |

The problem occured when I tried to convert Flac to WAV. I tried it twice yesterday and got that answer : "01. Machines (continued).flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 02. Brighton Rock.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 03. Another One Bites The Dust.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 04. Hammer To Fall.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 05. Crazy Little Thing Called Love.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 06. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.flac: successfully decoded to 'C:\Documents and Settings\RUTH\Mes documents\QUEEN\1984.09.05 London, Wembley Arena\CD2\WAV\06. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.wav'. 07. Bohemian Rhapsody.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 08. Radio Ga Ga.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 09. I Want To Break Free.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 10. Jailhouse Rock.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 11. We Will Rock You.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 12. We Are The Champions.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. 13. God Save The Queen.flac: file is truncated or otherwise corrupt. There were errors. Test decoded files for MP3 was cancelled." But, strangely, this morning, everything went fine. Maybe my computer wanted to have some sleep yesterday and tried to tell me something like "hey, man, go to hell and leave me alone, don't you see that I need some rest now ?". So no more problems with the conversion !! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |

Can anyone confirm that this link (SSOR) is from the 1st gen. If it is, I'll share all I have, unless any generous collector plan to share the full show |

daffy_the_duck wrote: Can anyone confirm that this http://www.mediafire.com/?ymezkrxntck> (SSOR) is from the 1st gen. Yessir, that's the one... or at least it seems to be. But the problem is, you'll then be making up lineage, as it wasn't passed it along. Comparing copies isn't bulletproof. |
| daffy_the_duck 12.11.2008 18:56 |
Well, I understand what you mean Bob, so AUD > Master Cassette > 1st Gen Cassette > ? > WAV > CDR (x) seems more accurate, even if it has no sense anymore! Or just saying low gen... |
| tassilo 16.11.2008 16:26 |
Thanks a lot for this one! |

daffy_the_duck wrote: Well, I understand what you mean Bob, so AUD > Master Cassette > 1st Gen Cassette > ? > WAV > CDR (x) seems more accurate, even if it has no sense anymore! Or just saying low gen... You just can't really say anything... either the lineage was passed down or it wasn't. The point of lineage is to paint a clear picture of where a recording has been. Without all the details, you might as well not have any lineage at all, because guesswork doesn't help anything. When someone gets in contact with the taper and gets a copy from them, then one can specify the lineage because it's indisputable. |

I finally take the time to upload the part I have. I only have it until Dragon attack but it has a better sound than what Pittrek shared with us. Taken from the hub, without any lineage so: AUD > ? > Wav > flac. I always have this so unstable internet connexion so I made 50 Mo rar files. here are the links: http://rapidshare.com/files/174221830/_1984-09-05__London__Wembley_Arena_Disc_1.part4.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/174212239/_1984-09-05__London__Wembley_Arena_Disc_1.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/174192948/_1984-09-05__London__Wembley_Arena_Disc_1.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/174171372/_1984-09-05__London__Wembley_Arena_Disc_1.part1.rar |
