Hey, I just went to a few different stores (in the USA), but couldn't find TCR. ...Pretty sure today is the release date. Anyway, does anybody know if the Hollywood Records version has any bonus tracks or special features? I have the Tour Edition and was wondering if buying the HR version is worth it. |

I don't know about the version in record shops but the version on iTunes has Runaway and The Show Must Go On as bonus tracks. |

Go to Best Buy - they have the Collectors Edition with the extra 4 vinyl records as well as the Hollywood release. Nothing out of the ordinary on the Hollywood release - what does the Tour Edition have? |

I got the Cosmos Rocks box set from my local best buy. It's on sale this week for $79. It includes: - Cosmos Rocks 2 disc vinyl album with gatefold - ANATO vinyl - SHA vinyl - ADATR vinyl - Queen II vinyl - Cosmos Rocks CD w/Bonus DVD (Japan footage) The vinyls are exact replicas of the original releases. ANATO is made from the "matted" material as opposed to the glossy material of the other albums. Inserts are also accurate. Very nice set. The guy in front of me in line was actually buying the CD; it looked as though they sold quite a few too. |

I bought me copy this afternoon at Rainbow Records in Delaware. I checked one Walmart store in the morning and they didn't have it yet. |

My Wal-Mart had 4 copies. |

local FYE in Morgantown, WV started the day w/ 5 copies, plus free t-shirts. I picked up the fourth copy + shirt just after 5pm. Haven't checked Best Buy, but the bonus DVD sounds interesting. |

The "enhanced" version I received from Amazon.com today has the "enhanced" label for no apparent reason. It has the 14 songs and little else. It has an internet survey, a help section (that doesn't help) and an exit button. The album would not autoplay on my computer, and the "help" section uselessly mentioned "cdplayer.exe" (which was not available on my Windows XP computer). Clicking on any of the three programs listed on the disk did not allow the disk to play. I then read the "gym-bitch-ese" fine print boilerplate on the back of the CD case: "Certain computers may not be able to access the CD-ROM portion of this disc. Neither the record company nor its designees makes any representation or warranty or assumes any responsibility with respect to the CD-ROM portion of this disc." I guess that meant that I could not return it? Fortunately, Google combined with a little luck (and no thanks to Hollywood Record's help file) allowed me to play the CD on my computer ... opening "Windows Media Player", accessing the drop down menus and selecting play did the trick. As for the quality of the album (after two listens), I would rank it as a below average "solo" album, only being better than Furia, Blue Rock, The Great Pretender, and the Flash Gordon soundtrack. |

the best buy in my area, reading, pa, had 6 or 7 copies of the fan edition and about a dozen copies of the regular cd when i went there last night. nice little story with me getting my copy: i ordered the vinyls/cd/dvd edition on best buy's website for store pickup. when i went to pick it up, they didn't have it put aside for me. since i had to wait while they got a copy off the floor, i got a further $10 off. talk about luck. |

Rainbow Records had the vinyl for $24.99, but I got the regular vinyl instead. I'd like to have the vinyl to, but I didn't know if there were any extra photos inside the cover. |

I agree with what someone said earlier. Album is definitely below average. I think Hot Space is a masterpiece compared to this crap - regardless if it is not considered a Queen album - its garbage no matter what category you want to put it in (Queen, Q+PR, etc). Are there no real heavy songs on this thing? I thought that they would have busted down the doors with real hard rock. Here is what I think of the songs after having listened to the whole album through about 3 times over the past month or so: 1. Cosmos Rockin' - sounds like a country song 2. Time To Shine - should have been heavier and not so Christian rock sounding 3. Still Burnin' - not too bad but they could have done without sampling themselves w/ WWRY 4. Small - not quite sure what to make of this 5. Warboys - garbage; as someone who serves in the military, this song irritates me. What is up with the strange 'warboys' voice? This song sounds like it was supposed to be heavy, but where are the guitars??? The solo sounds like a weak Rage Against the Machine solo. 6. We Believe - we believe that we can't write any good songs anymore...all of these songs have similar lyrics and themes. This song is way too long and horrible 7. Call Me - this song could have been on Sheer Heart Attack. What?! Are you freakin' kidding me??? Brian May is on crack. 8. Voodoo - not feeling this one. Not sure what they were trying to do with this song 9. Some Things That Glitter - not too sure what to make of this one. Sounds like it should have been on Another World 10. C-lebrity - maybe the best song, but silly lyrics and chorus 11. Through The Night - again sounds similar to other songs with the same theme. Maybe also could have been on Another World 12. Say It's Not True - the best song on the album and it was done last year, last minute. 13. Surf's Up...School's Out - pure crap; song makes on sense with all the weird 'yeahs'. A lot of the songs have similar lyrics and themes. Not a lot of imagination on this album. It sounds like Chicago or Christian rock to me. I can barely hear any bass guitar on any of the tracks. But then again, this is just my opinion, and everyone knows that opinions are like ass holes. Everyone has one, and some stink more than others. |

Cosmos Rockin' as a country song? seriously? What country? |

After buying the The Cosmos Rocks cd two days ago, I'm slowly listening to it. Only on track 9, I'm finding it lukewarm, but hoping that something really rocks besides the single "C-lebrity."I was really hoping that I'd be delighted in it. So far only "Voodoo" stands out. I do however have to play it a few more times for it to sink in. I'm a huge Queen fan who quickly shelled out money on October 28th, (the release) that I need for other things. I rarely buy new music. With a title like Cosmos Rocks and three hard rockin guys, it makes no sense in being mediocre about making this album. |

wow, the more I listen to TCR, the less I like it. Which is the exact opposite of what usually happens when i first listened to a Queen record. The only track I really like is Small. The rest is just horrible. I gave it 3/5 stars on my site...better change that to 1. Maybe they should stop producing albums themselves or bring in some new folks...and NOT Justin Shirley-Smith and Josh Macrae for God sakes! Who the fuck are they anyway?? The best thing that came out of that recording session was Runaway, and of course we all know they didn't write that. Brian, Roger...give it up. Go ahead and tour all you want..but quit making records. You just dont have it anymore. |
