Without a doubt the best concert of the tour so far - such a loud crowd singing along.
Same set list as usual - except . . .
After '39 (I think, certainly near there) . . . LAS PALABRAS
Brian on vocals and it was brilliant
Such a great evening, very emotional, the concerts keep getting better.
Other bits - full version of I Want It All with intro I think, new video fro Bo Rhap opera section - lots of Slightly Mad outakes etc. No video for Cosmos rocks - the new lighting obviously to stay.
They went ahead with Las Palabras? Awesome! Did they play the full song, or just a part of it (as they seem to be doing with virtually every other song on this tour), and did they cut anything to make room for it, or just tack it in?
yeah, the concert was awesome and the arena sold out !! and I was just at the end of the catwalk !! amazing !
best gig of the three I've attended (Rome and Barcelona before), with Las Palabras De Amor ("one night only", said Brian), the new - and better - video during the opera on Bo Rhap (funny funny Freddie outtakes from IGSM) and the complete version of Surf's Up, with the "In the towns and the country" verse also performed !!
I wish "Las Palabras" stayed in the set, but as per Brian, it doesn't seem it will .... it sounded great; Jamie did a great job on the electric guitar, and Brian forgot some lines of the last verses, but it was ok !
I'm glad I've attended Barcelona and Madrid, as I've been privileged to see the performance of two rarities in the set, such as Brian's snippet of "Barcelona" and the complete "Las Palabras De Amor" !! [/img]
Great! I'm listening to Las Palabras de Amor from the Madrid gig and the crowd sounds great singing it. It doesn't matter if you say that it is a spanish language song sung in Spain but I don't think it would be the same here in Mexico. Love of my Life? Sure... '39? Quite possibly... Las Palabras? I would be very surprised, probably in tears, haha :D.
I hope they DO come to Mexico and they choose to play that song again.
They were having a great time in San Diego a couple of years ago. It even looks like maybe they went to Tijuana (right next to San Diego), as they had Mexican Charro hats (sombreros) in their next gig. Maybe their opinion on Mexico has changed for the better in the past years? I certainly hope so.
