Just got back 1) Set list same as O2 (We beliieve back) 2) Neil Murray played 3) Danny Miranda watch first half in front of sound desk 4) every thing Paul Rodger's sang brilliant 5) Drum solo - pointless 6) Guitar solo - pointless 7) Highlights - All TCR songs, Show Must Go on, Bad Company, Crazy, All songs from HTF to Surfs Out 8) Low points the set dipped from the start of the B Stage until Crazy, having to stand I couldn't see, a set list to keep the greatest hits fans happy 9) Why is Last Horizon still played Would I go and see QPR again probably not. Would I go and see Paul Rodgers absolutely. I think the album rocks the tour doesn't seem to back it up. They were supposed to play most of the album on tour. They must have bottled it, don't know why |

Hi, I went last night, was right at the front, to the left of the runway (standing), a great concert, volume could have been louder, but other wise great highlights for me were: 1.All songs from TCR Album 2.Crazy little thing called love 3. The cosmos rocking--BRILL!!! 4.Roger Taylor on drums singing It's A Kind Of Magic, I'm In love with my car and SINT 5.Really enjoyed Brian's Solo part Things i did not enjoy so much: 1. Opening to the gig, Hammer to fall short version, One vision or WWRY Fast would have been a better opener 2. The time went too fast! 3. Wanted to hear more songs not played live before or for a long time: Headlong Innuendo Freinds will be freinds Too much love will kill you hammer to fall (full version) Tear it up Under pressure Now i'm here and many more, but i'm sure they have their reasons for not playing them!! 4.The end came too quickly Finally, is Queen the same without Freddie? No it is not, however Queen and Paul Rodgers know how to rock, it was a great night, Freddie was probably rockin up in heaven to the mighty sound of rock n roll, so from me, well done to Q&PR, LONG LIVE QUEEN, in what ever form Bri & Roger want to take it. Thank you for a great night out, and thank you Freddie for all your great songs Rest In peace |

But I thought that was the first time like that... Not sure... I know one thing- it helped this song a little bit. Just a bit, though... ...and to follow that with Guitar Solo... Should have known, should have gone for a beer... On the other hand being in the second row in front of the catwalk- didn't want to lose my place... Highlights? IILWMC, AKOM (surprised even me), COSMOS ROCKIN' (they play it as if they've been doing it for last 20 years), BAD COMPANY... Almost entire first half of the gig the sound was really crap- was difficult to hear Paul, basically the whole mix was a big mess... It got better but it was never perfect- far from it... It's boring now, knowing EXACTLY what they are going to do... HtF is a crap opening. You have this INTRO, than the lights go up, crowds cheer, they start a song. It doesn't feel like opener at all!!! Doesn't have the BANG!!! factor... not the way they played it, anyway... |

I know you disagree with me regarding the Surf's Up intro... but I agree that Hammer To Fall is the worst possible intro. I'd love to hear Surf's Up again but even One Vision or at least TYMD are far better than HtF. |

I agree as well, novel an idea to try out at least once as it is, HTF just really does not make for a good concert opener, *especially* in shortened form. It really makes them sound like a 'greatest hits cover band' :-( They COULD at least do something else like "Now I'm Here" or something, if they want to do different openings every few shows... |

I for one enjoyed the Cardiff gig along with 7500 other people. They rocked the place and the welcome was amazing!! You sound more like Paul Rodgers fan than a Queen fan by your comments. I am a fan of both so I can see it from both sides! Opinions in England are different to those in Wales - that's obvious. On points 5 & 6 - guitar solo is an integral part of a Queen show and although fans might find a drum solo boring I thought it was great as the drum kit increased in size. Again an acoustic set is historically part of the Queen set!! You have to expect that if you call yourself a Queen fan! Queen have never played more than 4 - 5 tracks from an album on their tours. Prior to that they had little choice to play more album tracks as they had less material tp choose from. So I disagree with you that bottled it. Maybe if you had been closer to ths stage you might have appreciated the B stage set more. What Cardiff had over Birmingham is that it is a smaller venue, more intimate and a great crowd. People came there to appreciate the show rather than to somewhat criticise the set. I for one thought it was much better than expected. |

The disappointment to me is that the setlist is virtual the same 2005. I bought my ticket thinking they would play a lot of the TCR. Roger is quoted as saying they would be playing most of the Cosmos Rocks. Last Horizon is a one tour only song why is it still being played I'm a 70's Queen fan, so I don't want to here Radio Gaga, Kind of Magic, Break Free. I agree an acoustic set is intregal. But it was the same as 2005. They could have done Call Me acoustically for example. How many times can you listen to 39, LOML. I'm a music fan who want's to here different thing live and therefore like to hear new songs. On the last few Elton John tours he has played most of the album he is plugging. As for the drum and guitar solos they could have played 5 more songs. |

A great night out! Second row at the catwalk - Hi Fenderek! The b stage set was my highlight. I thought Love of my Life was great until we heard 39. Bringing the band onto the b stage was something new - like being on stage ourselves. Roger playing 'I'm in Love' etc was great. After the b stage set the place was a lot hotter and I saw a few people being taken out of the crowd. I didn't think Birmigham 2005 could be matched but now we have a whole new set of memories. Worth queueing from 3:15 for! Cheers, The Voice. |
