I am what you guys call a Newbie around here. I am attending Friday's gig in Nottingham - can't bloody wait!! I haven't done a Queen gig b4 but have done many other gigs. I always go for standing as I have done this time. I am a big fan of another male artist (I won't mention his name for fear of ridicule) and many of his fans que up very early on the day of the gig. Is this likely to be the same for Friday's gig? I won't be able to get there very early as i only have a half day off of work and its going to take me about 3 hours to get there!!
I also see from pictures that other have posted that they appear to have a runway that comes out into the standing area, is this still the case? If so what are the chances of getting anywhere near it?
Thank you so much to anybody who replys to this topic, it is muchly appreciated.
[br]You could turn up at 7pm and still get a standing position. The question is how close to the front do you want to be? The closer you want to be, the earlier you need to get there. If 4pm is the time you're willing to get there at, you'll get as close as all the people in front of you at that point allow. What I used to do was turn up at lunchtime, see if anyone was about, then decide whether I fancied having lunch. Come back in a bit, review etc. Last thing to do before joining queue is go to toilet.[br][br]As for your bladder, I'm pretty confident that you're the best judge of that![br][br][br][br][br]
Take it from a seasoned old war horse, with the doors opening at 7pm, I personally never queue when its in an arena show (stadiums different kettle of fish) I never stand there just waiting there is an hour b4 the show starts at least, I tend to have a few drinks somewhere at Nottingham there is Bunkers Hill Inn just near it always helps & what I've found is the people who queue up outside hog the bars & people like me who let the initial madness die down gets to where I exactly where I want to be, as the people who haven't had a drink or toilet break need to do all that.
