Iv'e tried to reply three times to a post in another thread, but it won't go up, so i'll try a new thread instead. I CANNOT believe people mentioning OASHIT in the same breath as Queen. I cannot even believe there are Queen fans ( with taste) who see quality in OASHIT ( no taste). They killed RnR when they tried to revive it. They taught the younger generation that rock is bland and unexciteing. They have been the Status Quo of our time, giving us the same old drivel song after song, album after album. Pur shite. Oh, I'm only 33 and live in the north of England, so don't tell me I'm too old, or don't get their roots or any of that old nonsense. Put Oashit next to Queen ( or most rock groups) and they sound like my cat asking for it's dinner. |
Penetration_Guru 05.10.2008 14:51 |
Are you drunk, stupid, or do you think "Oashit" is some sort of humourous satire on the Gallaghers? |
thomasquinn 32989 05.10.2008 14:56 |
Probably both. |
Tero 05.10.2008 15:15 |
He must be at least one of those, considering that his previous three attempts HAVE appeared in the thread he was trying to post in... |
marcenciels 05.10.2008 15:22 |
why bother with the comparing game ? |
Marcos Napier 05.10.2008 15:48 |
How dare you to compare the almighty Beatles with Queen? Ooops, sorry... wrong fab four. |
Holly2003 05.10.2008 16:22 |
Once Noel learns that all-important fourth chord their musical repetoire should broaden considerably. |
Cwazy little thing 05.10.2008 18:06 |
With all due respect Oasis are not THAT terrible compared with some of the utter garbage which gets released these days. Im not a huge fan myself, and I agree they have gotten stuck in a rut of writing stuff which sounds like Oasis, but they've recorded a few very good tunes, and Noel is in no danger of needing to learn any new guitar chords - he's quite accomplished, not any sort of guitar hero, but far from rubbish. |
Raf 05.10.2008 18:21 |
Okay, they aren't that bad, I agree with whoever said that. They're okay. What ruins it is the fact that they don't act like an okay band, they act like they're here to save rock'n'roll, like they're living legends, bla bla bla. If they want to become the new Beatles, then shut the fuck up and write something comparable with the Beatles' best stuff. |
Brian_Mays_Wig 05.10.2008 18:37 |
Ive seen Oasis a few times, theyre ok live. I thought the version of My Generation they did for TOTP was fantastic. |

You are a moron. They are by far the best band out right now. I have the new album and its fantastic. I have seen this band 14 times and they are a great live act. They sound nothing like the Beatles, nor should they have to. Just because you admire a band doesn't mean you have to be them. Oasis is great. They rank up there with the Who, Queen, Floyd, and all the other top bands..... |
Marcos Napier 05.10.2008 22:56 |
Their new video looks like if Liam had gathered all his Beatles memorabilia and filmed them all at once. Works better with some acid, I guess. |
john bodega 06.10.2008 00:58 |
Oasis would be a great band if they fired all their members and fucked off to the Moon forever. |
Rick 06.10.2008 02:33 |
Half The World Away is a nice song. That's it. |

Firstly.. This site is shite and I tried several times to post replies, and even tho I logged out and switched off and then came back, the posts still didn't show up until today. secondly.. I NEVER mentioned the Beatles as that is TOO EASY an insult to lay on OASHIT.. Thirdly... I have more talent in my foreskin than those manx twats and if there are worse bands around since them, then they have played a part in that by 'influencing' such bands. I am actually from London, and was still livin there when their first drivel was released and I remember the only people going 'mad' over it were all the northerners I knew and worked with. The same people who believed all the hype about the non-existent 'war' ith Blur(b) and who would have loved ANY shite if it came from the north. In fact, they did like any shite from the north which is exactly why OASHIT sold so 'many' records. Fourthly, I call them OASHIT not as an attempt as wit but because I simply cannot bring muself to use their real name, as I feel quite sick just thinking about them. DIRGE, CRAP, SHITE and BILE I thinl that's the name of their next album.... |
bhm0129ad 06.10.2008 08:25 |
If my head is up my arse, It's because there is better music up there than anything released in the last 10 years, with very few exceptions. MUSIC IS DEAD and no amount of OASHIT albums can change that. I remember reading an interview with Noel way back in 1997, where he said, quote.. " The first three albums will be like a trilogy, in a similar style, but then we will take it in a totally different direction..." Well, what the fuck happened? He realised he couldn't do anything different, that's what. Without Beatles songs to trace over, or some kids TV theme tune, he can't write a tune, and he knows it. |

I see people agreeing that OASHIT are not from Isle of Man... but not DIS-AGREEING that there's more talent in my foreskin HA And thanks, deity, nice to see someone else agrees about OASHIT as well as coldplay and U2, and just for good measure, i think the same of REM too! Let alone Robbie Williams, and half of the shite that's around these days..... |
Tero 07.10.2008 10:16 |
Even though I was (one of) the first to mention Oasis in the other topic, I've never claimed they had any talent or originality... The problem here with QPR is that their album sounds even less interesting than Oasis (or any other of those bands you mentioned). They might have the talent, but it isn't present on this album. |
bhm0129ad 10.10.2008 07:51 |
Your opinion on TCR is valid (as YOUR opinion, not mine) but it still took Queen 35 years, and to become old men, and to not have Freddie to make ONE album that may not be as 'good' as OASHIT.[br] If they were so good, thay would have made an album to compare to and of Queen's fist seven. And, of course, IMO they can't compare to ANY Queen album, even TCR.[br][br] Queen and Oashit are probably two of tyhe most arrogant bands in British music history, the difference is that Queen COULD back it up with talent and great music and great shows, more than can be said for those useless self-promoters from Manchester. |
Wiley 10.10.2008 10:13 |
Definately Maybe... and (What's the Story) Morning Glory are better albums for me than -say- The Miracle, Flash Gordon or AKOM.[br][br]The shit has hit the fan.[br][br][br]There are some great melodies in there and some good-ol' Rock'n Roll![br][br]I like them. |

You never said they weren't from the Isle Of Man. You said they were from the Isle of Man by calling them "Manx". Or where you spelling "Mancs" in a cool modern hip stylee? I know your from London, but at least get your Northern insults right. Whats the point in us arguing with you that Oasis have produced some great music? You clearly don't like them so I'll leave you and other haters to pointlessly post about how crap Oasis are. |
