am i being rediculous thinking that, feel like makin love, wishing well, shooting star are better than bites the dust break free i want it all? i love want it all,.... ok maybe im over reacting when i say better, but id like to see some more of pauls songs played? bad co, seagull, and allright now? there are queen songs that i feel are being played for the sake of it, when there are paul songs that are far better! or equaly as good that desever to be polished off?
I think both Paul and his fans both realise that although this is Queen plus Paul Rodgers, in reality live it is very much a Queen show as most of the crowd are primarily Queen fans and have a more casual acquaintance with most of Paul's material. Paul is in a position to tour as a solo artist for his fans to hear more of his stuff were as this is Queen fans only chance to here the Queen catalogue performed by the band. When the project began back in 2005 Brian suggested a 50/50 set list but Paul felt it was fairer to do primarily Queen in order to give the majority of the audience what they wanted.
I like Pauls material too but I'm going to the shows for the Queen songs as who knows how many more chances we'll get to here Brian and Roger perform them. I'm sure there will be more opportunity to see Paul on a solo tour.
there are queen songs that i feel are being played for the sake of it, when there are paul songs that are far better!
Agree. If it is a "mixed band" (hence the + in the name), instead of trying stuff with someone that clearly doesn't fit and work well with these songs, why not let him just do his things? Let me guess: it will upset the fans.
