I was watching the Kharkiv (or Kjarkov, I don't know) DVD and realised that the choruses that Moses does (a king of magic, cosmos rockin', c-lebrity, etc) are horrible. His voice is aweful and his micro is very high. Deaky sings better than him (I'm telling too much with this).I think Brian and the other guys must don't let him sing. Other thing that I don't personally like is that he uses a replica of the Red Special, but is nothing to do with the music. I think the RS is Brian's icon and a trademark of his unique sound and style. Anyway, I got the ticket for the concert in Buenos Aires because Brian and Roger are two of my music idols. I wish to know your opinions. Sorry for my english. Cheers! |

I only thing that he had a couple of bad days |

Yo tb. lo odio a Jamie, de toda la vida, desde que compre hace 13 años Brixton Academy y vi la foto de el al lado de Brian con un sombrero cowboy. Es un payaso, no lo puedo ni ver. |
sarah.m 33304 02.10.2008 12:03 |
1/ His voice is not awful otherwise they wouldn't WANT him to sing BVs 2/ Brian gave him the red guitar as he wanted him to play it on the tour |
evilemperor_10 02.10.2008 12:06 |
Jamie is a very good friend of Brian's and Brian loves the way he plays guitar. Stop being to nasty and just enjoy the music. |

I'm officially sick of all the negativity about everything...the album...setlists...PAUL...Roger's solo...Jamie...blah, blah, blah... 4 years ago, I never thought I would have the chance to see Brian and Roger perform together, let alone hear a new album. I'm happy! Bring on the US tour! |
sarah.m 33304 02.10.2008 13:00 |
Here here. I don't get it, surely seeing them as they are is better than not seeing them at all. |

His primary function as a member of the touring band is as a support, or rhythm guitar player to Brian's lead. The fact that you based your argument based on the Kharkov show is rubbish. Guitar players do have off days you know - and that includes Brian. Infact here is an example of how off Brian can be sometimes link Twice in the one song. Does he suck? No. As for Jamie's mic being too high, that isnt his fault but that of the sound mixer guy. |
masterstroke_84 02.10.2008 14:16 |
Doesn't matter how "high" is your mic... if you sucks... you sucks. Nothing wrong about his guitar playing... Im sure he is very professional and his work is OK, but when he sings... again... he sucks. This comment his not anti-Q+PR or anything (in fact I'm one of the biggest and inconditional fans of this project since day 1). |
sarah.m 33304 02.10.2008 14:25 |
Do you understand what 'unconditional' means? If so, you wouldn't say what you just did... I hear Jamie sing, A LOT, and trust me, he can sing. |
masterstroke_84 02.10.2008 14:57 |
Unconditional doesn't mean that I can't make observations about how badly thay guy sings. |
sarah.m 33304 02.10.2008 15:06 |
He doesn't sing badly, if he did, he wouldn't be in the band, end of. Jesus. |
Vali 02.10.2008 15:09 |
no way, man .. he's a good musician and he has proven himself providing backing vocals. There are times when Rog, Paul or even Freddie in the good-old days have their voice tired, affected, etc That's the same case with Jaimie in that particular show |
Bo Alex 02.10.2008 15:14 |
I just wanted to share my opinion, that I don't like Jamie Moses. But I'm really excited taht I' m gonna see Brian and Roger live. That's all. |
sarah.m 33304 02.10.2008 15:15 |
Fair enough, each to their own, but there was no need to be offensive by saying he 'sucks'. |
Olly 1988 02.10.2008 15:36 |
Anthing I've heard of him that can't be messed with has been gash. Truly awful! |

Sarah.M wrote: Here here. I don't get it, surely seeing them as they are is better than not seeing them at all. You would think. However people would moan if they were doing nothing. It just seems like every topic lately is somebody moaning about something to do with QPR. I'm not some Stepford, but I am honestly amazed at the level of complaining going on lately. |
sarah.m 33304 02.10.2008 15:47 |
i know, amazing, damned if you do, damned if you don't. |
Wiley 02.10.2008 16:19 |
I was suprised to listen to those songs because Jamie sounds definately out of place. Still, I know he can sing, good enough for BV's at least. In all the shows I went to and the recordings I have listened to from the 2005-6 tours I thought that the backing vocals were great. Was Jamie buried in the mix before? I don't think so. Maybe he just had a few nights off in this tour. Don't forget Jamie sang the highest note in Under Pressure in the 2005-2006 tour. He can surely hold a note. Still, I think he really struggles with C-Lebrity. |
Penetration_Guru 02.10.2008 16:26 |
I think "offensive" is an overreaction, Sarah... |

Ok....... seriously? do you know whats its like to be on stage when maybe a floor monitor is not mixed right and you cant hear yourself? we'll thats what i think happened to jamie. give him a break! He recovered nicely... |
gnomo 03.10.2008 03:19 |
Jamie also is the guy who came up with the "bluesy" version of Hammer to Fall... Of that I'll always be grateful, not just for the song in itself, but for what it did to Brian back then... |
Bo Rhap 03.10.2008 04:03 |
Leave the guy alone. He's had an off day.So what!.We're all entitled to have an off day. |
Togg 03.10.2008 04:20 |
He is a pro session guy... his singing is fine for BV and the guitar makes perfect sense, what better way to replicate Queen sound of multiple guitars than to have two versions on stage! As for the comment on you've her Deacon sing better...eer where? he never sang, and his mic on stage was so low in the mix if even on at all that you will certainly never have heard his singing voice |
Micrówave 03.10.2008 11:57 |
No, Bo Alex. You suck. At a great many things. I could go into that right now, but I really don't have enough time for all that. Plus, everyone here would get bored with your life. Truly. Some would probably commit suicide before getting to age 10 in your life, it's so pathetic. And what about that name, Bo? What kind of name is that? I realize, perhaps, the trouble you guys must have had trying to spell "Bob". People would make fun of you, spell it backwards, etc. But Bo? Dude, the Dukes Of Hazzard was just a TV show, but your parents chose John Schneider as an icon and named you after him. I'm sorry, we all are. If I were there at the time, I would have chosen Michael Paul Jean Sam Dave, but you got stuck with Bo. Sorry to hear that. Good luck, hope you find a last name. |

Jamie's backing vocals are very good, nothing wrong about them. Kharkov was an exception, all backing vocals sounded REALLY BAD there for some reason. Lack of rehearsing maybe? |
john bodega 04.10.2008 02:50 |
In the two recordings of this tour I've heard so far, I have to say he's ruining it for me with his backing vocals. Having said that, I've only heard two recordings, maybe he's redeemed himself. On the basis of what I heard though, I'd pull the plug on his mic. So I'm hoping things have been ironed out - the show really is improving. Bijou sounds magical now. |
