A TRIBUTE to one of the greatest bands in the world will be staged at The Playhouse this month.
Queen tribute band Mercury will pay homage to the talents of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon in a hit-filled evening on October 17.
Queen's Greatest Hits album sold 25 million copies worldwide and the band dominated the charts during the 70s, 80s and early 90s.
Mercury's ambition was to capture the true emotion, atmosphere and sheer power that Queen generated in live performances.
The five-piece band is adept enough to bring to life Queen's most intricate recordings live, without the use of backing tracks.
The evening will include many of the band's greatest top 10 hit singles including Killer Queen, Somebody To Love, We Are The Champions and Radio Ga Ga.
Mercury's most prestigious gig to date was being invited to play live for Roger Taylor and his friends, while other notable achievements include performing at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £14, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or via link
