Regardless, the people that immigrate to the US from Mexico and Latin America walk into an instant upgrade to their quality of life. Why else would the come here? Some may think that cleaning a house is poor treatment and degrading, but that is good money and opportunity for many poor immigrants. Sad, really, but they have nothing to be ashamed of, and America has nothing to be ashamed of in providing that opportunity for them. I'd love the opportunity to visit Europe, Australia, Russia and even Africa. I might be put off by a few jerks, but I'm willing to bet that my positive experiences would far outweigh the negative ones. I'd also guarantee that you would enjoy a visit to any part of the US (well, except maybe Detroit! ;)). Don't let a couple of assholes keep you from experiencing something wonderful.
