This is basically what I remember. I think about 5 vinyl singles got covered with cat piss at some point which really pissed me off. I don't take them out and play them much, as I usually have them on my computer. The CD albums and cassettes I listen to in the car sometimes though. I have quite a bit of the 'Too Much Love's Will Kill You' cassette singles (US), I bought them all at the same time on eBay. I have a few Headlong CD promos! I've got doubles of albums. I don't even want to bother going through my DVDs right now. I have a few of the Classic Queen Promo CDs from 1989 (one was even stolen from me!). I've even got the Mr. Sad Guy bootleg... but it's not official, so I didn't list it. I got Pre-Ordained as well. Most of this stuff I bought a few years back when I had this goddamn urge to buy things. I spent like $300.00 in one week at one point. Well, what I'm most proud of are the following: - Killer Queen book - 40+ photographs of Queen live in Liverpool 1978/1979 - 100+ tapes of live material (Queen, Brian/Roger solo, The Cross, interviews, soundchecks etc.) - One rare video. The concert isn't rare, but this version IS! :) Unfortunately, I can't trade it, but hey, you asked for personal collections, right? :P |

Yeah, someone had The Great Pretender one. They were willing to sell it to me but I think they were asking like $200 and I didn't have it at the time. |

After years and years of collecting I'm almost "complete" (and satisfied :-) ) Wich means: Vinyl LP's All Queen lp's (including Made In Heaven; rest is crap IMHO) & Solo lp's in NM condition. (I only need: Happiness? numbered vinyl, got it once but it wasn't Mint enough:-) ) Queen single releases. Every song wich was released as a single with a picture sleeve. Not all formats but for each song just one single(the one I liked most / was most affordable) All in Near Mint condition. For example: These Are The Days Of Our Lives US 1991 cassette single. Seven Seas Of Rhye (3" cd single > it's much cheaper than it's 7" picture sleeve variant AND it contains two nice lossless tracks. We Will Rock You (live) (7" issued only in Japan with a picture sleeve) Love Of My Life (dutch picture sleeve; I can't afford the spanish version :-) ) Only item I miss is Staying Power (wich was released in Japan with a picture sleeve) Freddie Mercury solo box set. After buying this 10 cd / 2 dvd set I quit collecting Freddie Mercury stuff (who needs all those 12" single mixes / edits when it's all in here?). I only kept the original vinyl LP's. Mint of course. Promo posters some nice ones: Who Wants To Live Forever, Headlong etc. Don't really collect them, but they are nice anyway. Official Videos / DVD's All concerts, and the promo videos. Concerts After years of trading, I decided to downsize my collection. I kept the best, about 70, concerts (sound wise (masters, or low gens) / performance wise / or personal memories) and all the videos (at least the ones with Freddie). Threw away (yes... I know) all my Poor+ / VG- / VG rated audio shows because I never listen to them anyway. I did keep my own masters / concert tickets / photos of course. Not really a Queen item but nice anyway: Vintage deadstock 1978 unworn (not anymore :-) ) pair of Asics wrestling shoes. Excact same shoes Freddie Mercury was wearing at some concerts in 1978 (the white asics with black stripes; not a pair of "retro shoes") Always loved those shoes. That's about it I think. |

I did have some rare things in the past, but they were shared here quite soon after that. Still, I'm very proud of this video. Never saw this version before and the quality is excellent! It';s either a master clone or 1st gen video. Okay, and I have one uncirculating audio recording. Maybe I'll trade that one in the future. :) |

My collection is not impressive by Internet-Queen-Fan-Community standards but nobody I know has one like it for any artist. My friends are not collectors. I was lucky enough to get a Made In Heaven CD that has the original version of Let Me Live (which I shared with everyone years ago) and a Back Chat/Calling All Girls 12" single. Both from my country, Mexico. Apart from that, I suppose everything is standard. I have a Starfleet Project mini LP that has a golden stamp on the sleeve (can't remember what it is) and a couple of East German Greatest Hits albums with white Queen II'ish covers I got from a friend. |
