With Brando dead, there was no question of who the best actor alive was: Paul Newman. Now, that answer has faded, too. Rarely has the world seen an artist of such broad mind, so diverse in his skills, so good a person. 83 years is far too short a time for the world to have enjoyed Paul Newman, but his legacy will live for centuries to come.

You are trying to make others think like you or...? Paul Newman was brilliant actor, but I wouldn't say that he was best ALIVE actor. There are many actors which are, in my opinion, better than mister Paul Newman was or at least as good as he was.

No problem ladies. ;P
Jack Nicholson
Al Pacino
Robert De Niro
Anthony Hopkins
Sean Connery
Gene Hackman
Kirk Douglas
Roger Moore
And like TQ, I'm not saying that these are the best alive actors. I just think that they are brilliant and so was Paul Newman. But he was nothing better than them, he was at least as good as them. Write whatever you want, that's just my opinion.
By the way, it is really sad to hear about his death. When I heard he and his wife were married for about 50 years or so, I had an awwwwwwwwwwww moment. May he rest in peace. I hope his family get through this in a healthy way. I don't want them becoming suicidal or anything.....
RIP Paul.
