Sorry Paul, Brian and Roger...
but this is probably the best cover version of 'Runaway'... ever...
It probably also says more about my age, nationality, race, class, musicality, humour, sexual-orientation, etc, etc... but hey, it's my thread! link

LOL! The dance at 1:40 was awesome, other than that... What's up with the creepy mime dude?? ;-D
The mine guy was pretty creepy alright. I reckon we should send a petition to Brian for Runaway to be included on the setlist but not only that, Paul, Brian, Danny and Jamie have to do that dance. Can anyone see Dr. May doing that?

Ask your husband - He's from Scotland too isn't he?
A great combination of music, menace, humour and theatricality.
Alex Harvey - something of a God in Scotland! (RIP)

Oh aye, he's from Scotland. ;-)
Menace...that's a new one for me... I'll ask him.

Oooh...I like that idea! ;-)
Yeah, but they gotta wear the sombreros that The Three Amigos picked up in Tijuana after last tour's San Diego gig. The mime makeup's gotta go on Spike.

That was Zal Cleminson's style. Rather than just be the guitarist in the band, he often chose to do a "performance". He did the same when he played briefly with another great Scottish band called Nazareth - that was the only time I saw him in concert.
I like The Beach Boys version as well. They only did it live though. I have a video of a concert from 1983, which is one of the last occasions with all six Beach Boys (yes, with Denny on drums and Brian being surprisingly happy).
