What I don't like about this thread is that when someone comes in to defend McCain (and they will), they won't be able to do it without throwing dirt at someone else.
I arrived at this conclusion the other night while watching Parliament Question Time.... politicians and politically minded people never seem to be able to talk about themselves, what they're doing, and their responsibilities -
Nope. I watched the top politicians of my own country last night, throwing metaphorical mud at each other without ever answering questions properly.

This is how political discussion works. Every once in a while, though, something substantive is discussed.
I get how the institution works, but God.... I would pay good money to see a politician that only talks about his/her plans and what he/she is going to do.
They might as well have gone at it with foam baseball bats.
I think, if I vote, I'll vote 'present'. If that were an option, and enough people went for it, that would bring about change. ...And that's "change we can believe in".
But seriously, it's congress that needs to change. If the right people were in congress, whoa doggie, there's a thought
