So after 1983 this is the next year I'm starting today.
This is the year 1984 .

Review from link
It's only six shows into the tour and Freddie's voice is already starting to weaken a bit. He acknowledges this to himself while he fears the high notes at the beginning of It's A Hard Life. "If I don't get this first note, I'll kill myself!" He hits it, barely, and quickly switches to falsetto for the rest of the intro. After the medley of old songs, Freddie says, "It's nice to do some of the really early stuff, even though I've forgotten the words. I don't care, I'll make 'em up." He then does his rumour dispelling speech, saying, "If we wanted to break up, we'd let you know. But as long as you buggers buy the records we're gonna be here. Just to prove it, this is Staying Power." After Brian plays the guitar intro to Love Of My Life, the audience begin to sing without Freddie, and Brian stops playing. Freddie says to Brian, "They started it up before I even sang." He jokingly shouts at them, "How dare you sing without my command?" He then hands the microphone to a couple of people in the audience whom he thinks want to sing, but instead they shout out some gibberish for a brief moment. Freddie then takes the mic back and says, "Looks like we really attract a really intelligent bunch." He then asks, "Should we sing this fucker or not?" The audience indicate that they definitely want to, and Freddie says to Brian, "Why don't you give the introduction again?" Brian says, "No no no, we'll do this", and counts the audience into the first verse. Here's a classic Freddie introduction to what is probably their heaviest ever single release: "I think we'll try a song from an album called The Works right now. This is a Brian May tune and it's gonna be our next release. It's a light little number called..." and he suddenly shouts, "Hammer To Fall!" Tonight the song is called "Another one bites the balls, I mean dust" according to Freddie. "A song you can move your tits to." At the end of the concert, Freddie solidifies the casual atmosphere of the UK shows by saying, "Come back any time. You're welcome. [img=linkThis was originally shared as "Real Dazzler", but people who have the bootleg confirmed that this is a better version. This is the first of two nights in Milan. The last three pics could be from either night. Brian breaks a string at the end of Keep Yourself Alive, so Roger and Freddie do a brief improv until Brian gets a Red Special copy for Liar. The audience chant for Mustapha, and Freddie incorporates it into his usual vocal exchange with the audience before It's A Hard Life. Tonight is the last performance of Staying Power. It's dropped probably because it is so demanding for Freddie to sing, but this last version is a very good one! His voice is in pretty good shape after having played only one show in the last 5 days. About a minute of Tear It Up (unfortunately with a voice-over) was shown on Italian TV not long after the concert. The venue was far from full on both nights, making it an easy decision for Queen to skip out on Italy for the Magic tour in 1986.This recording comes from the bootleg "The Jewels" Download links : link link link link link link link |

Hi, Pittrek. Thanks a lot for the shares and the dedication. I can't download it right now - they have established here some download/upload limits - but as soon as I'm able to, I'll do it, I loved the selection and I admit that what I'm most curious about is the Birmingham gig. I hope you're doing fine. Take care! Would you like to share your personal opinion on which one of these you enjoy the most? :) I'd be glad to know. Thanks again! |

I need an expert lolIndeed, you're right... this isn't from the Gypsy Eye bootleg. It's probably very close to the master tape, but without given lineage we can't say for sure where it's been... |
pittrek 26.09.2008 04:07 |
It's the source which was shared here as "Real Dazzler". I don't have the original bootleg, so I have to rely on the information I get from the original sharers |

Yeah, I know. It's still a problem that people simply attach names to recordings that cause confusion in identifying them... and the chain continues. That said, maybe you can try to avoid using names unless someone confirms for sure that it's from a silver..? 99 times out of 100, roio's shouldn't have names, as their lineage is what should differentiate them from the rest. Myself, I very rarely spread something that doesn't have exact lineage or didn't come from a silver, because the recordings without lineage usually just seem to add to the plethora of unmarked versions, making it even more difficult to pin-point which is the best one. |

I have changed the information to avoid further misslabeling . BTW one concert from 1984 - the second Milano night - wasn't shared by me in this thread, because "somebody" wants to create a compilation of best sources :-) And expect an e-mail from me today/tomorrow :-) |

I've searched the whole QZ, and I can't find that neither Berlin 24-09-84 nor Vienna 30-09-84 have been shared here before. (And as you know, there has been quite an interest in the gig from Birmingham 31-08-84 too. At the moment 8 people are vaiting for it on my torrent) A share would therefore be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance!! |

I am very pleased with all the great stuff you have shared here lately, but still I dare to remind you of these last posts. Double U has promised to upload Birmingham, but I'm still searching for Berlin and Vienna the 30 of September. I suddenly discovered that there are two Brussel gigs too. I don'have the first one from 24-8. And if you happen to have Dortmund and Frankfurt too it would be great. I know it is a lot to ask, but these gigs would complete my 84 collection, and would therefore be much appreciated. It is not the meaning that you have to do all this work at once. [/img] Thank you very much in advance!! |
