did you hear his last record ('Amigo'). That's the reason no-one will play with him anymore (except for bri) :-D
nevertheless: 'earth' has always one of my favourites from the early days, and this version indeed rocks !
Tim Staffel isn't a legend, an ongoing veteran, nor is he really all that good to me at least going on what his solo album 3 years or so back was when I bought it and gave it a few plays hoping to grow it on me. I gave it all the chance to win me over and it did not, especially considering the Smile remakes were the best songs on the album even with terrible large alterations that showcase creative decisions so different and eternally unworthy of Queen's sound.
Smile was fantastic, but Taylor and May were probably most responsible and they grew while Staffel vanished for decades.
Rodgers is an entity that adds a lead vocalist with his own legacy and chemical additions that seem to alternate towards a different flavor that works beyond my belief, but Staffel would just be a nostalgic element limited to a best case scenario of returning to a short early time period insignificant by comparison, and above all it downsizes May and Taylor's potential to both return to their entity and to take it forward anywhere special.
