To the Brian favored quote, I wholeheartedley agree. Paul's one new trend has been to eliminate Brian's vocal necessity because while Brian's voice was more effective at times than Freddie's for slower tracks here and there, Rodgers seems to fit better in most of those scenarios. This would be an acception to the rule because I could hear Brian's better possibilities for this cover.
I love the 1st half a lot, but the 2nd half loses the greatness via too much wah on Brian's guitar, and it follows the common trend to take a cover further than it's original intention, dragging the track out in time and play.
All things considered it's fabulous, though I still prefer the recent release of the Traveling Wilbury's cover, but the Brian guitar version of the piano section is freaking greatness.
Runaway, its a good job done on an old song, although they could have shortened it up a bit to make it punchier! Why did this have to be just put on the itunes website, it should have been left as a "hidden" track on the album for everyone to enjoy. Itunes sucks ass!!
