Well I've been a constant watcher of Queenzone for many years but have never made a post to the forums. In a TV world where there are no good sitcoms Queenzone is the most entertaining and funny thing I've ever seen. I read the forums if I need cheering up.
What I love the most is the posters who take time to have a go at other posters who have made a spelling mistake or grammatical error or just to abuse them. Well I'm bound to make a spolling mistake or made a grammatical error so I'm ready for the abuse.
I'm currently listening to the new album and I have to say I like it. Here are my thoughts
a)Is it going to be a classic album, I doubt it (which long established bands albums do). Do I care ? No I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. How many classic albums did Queen do in their latter days. (Before people say Innuendo I agree, but there are some dodgy moment (Delilah, Hitman, Ride the Wild Wind, I Can’t live with you)).
b)Is it Queen without Freddie? I don’t care I have a new album by half of them and a great singer.
c)Is one note in a guitar solo out of tune? Who gives a monkeys. It’s a great song.
d)Will lots of people buy it. I don’t care, I will
e)Just listened to Voodoo, I like it.
f)Will it affect Queen’s legacy. Are you having a laugh. People who talk about legacies sound like kids who think their parents are wasting their inheritance. Truth is Brian and Roger built up the legacy and can do what they like with it without consulting Queenzoners. If it was affecting legacies I’m sure John Deacon and Freddies estate would have done something about it.
g)C-Lebrity has just finished. Still love it. Paul’s a great singer.
h)Am I looking forward to the tour ? I certainly am.
i)Ah I’ve now found the low point of the album Say it’s not true. Seems out of play and isn’t any good.
The highlights Cosmos Rocking, Still Burning, Warboys, Voodoo, Small, C-Lebrity and Through the Night.
My advise if you want to buy it, do so if you don’t, then don’t (find something else to do).
PS Surfs Up Schools Out Rocks.
………there are some synthesizers but no many. Hooray

Great analogy! I agree with most of your comments but that one particularly rang true to my ears.
I am liking the album a lot. Favorite tracks so far: Cosmos Rockin', Small, Some things that glitter and We Believe.
I can't believe many people don't like "We Believe". I love it, even if it sounds like Paul's going to sing "We are the World" when he sings "I believe...".
I listened to the album this morning on QOL (even tho I said I will wait until the album drops through my letter box) and I thought it sounded great and I'm sure it will sound even better blasting through my car speakers!! Can't wait to see them on tour!!!
happy Days!!
Bathump, your comment is very good! Reasonable and logical. I've been looking for a Queen forum and I should say this one is the best of all. The comments are also nice, practically no hostility. Why should posters be hostile? We are all fans, we are on one side of the barricades.
When is the album officially released? Please, tell me someone.
For me and many others Queen died when Freddie Mercury died,so I cringed when I heard they were making a new album.
If you look at this album being a new Queen album then youll probably be abit disappointed as Paul Rodgers is no Freddie Mercury.Im not saying he isnt a good singer, just Freddie was truly a one off and no one could ever replace him.
If however you look at the album as a new start for 3 ageing legends of rock then Id say its actually quite good.I much prefer hearing Paul Rodgers singing this new material, hearing him sing Queens old songs just doesnt do it for me.
Id say its definitely worth a listen,I was pleasently suprised
