Hello,
I have a question about the Vienna 12-05-1982 gig. Is the footage wich is officially released on the Milton Keynes dvd (bonus disc) all that was recorded?
According to Queenconcerts.com link 20 minutes of footage was recorded and broadcast on TV (Flash's Theme, The Hero, Another One Bites The Dust, Tie Your Mother Down, We Are The Champions).
But according to Queenlive.ca the content of the Milton Keynes bonus disc is all that was shot and broadcast. I quote:
" Dust, Rock You, Champions, and God Save The Queen were filmed for TV. Part of Champions (as well as some Frankfurt footage) was shown on the 1982 Queen documentary called "Musik Scene", and all four songs were shown on "The One & Only Queen", also aired in 1982. This great Vienna footage is in the extras on the Live At The Bowl DVD. Freddie can be seen singing along with a few lines of God Save The Queen at the end of the show."
Does anyone know how much was shot / broadcast?
Naturally it's possible that more footage of the Vienna and Frankfurt shows was filmed than has been broadcast or released... but here's how it stands at the moment:
Frankfurt - Flash's Theme, The Hero, Tie Your Mother Down
Vienna - Dust, Rock You, Champions, God Save The Queen
All I did was compare the footage to the audience recordings. It's all the same source material... those TV specials from 1982.
