Hi everybody,
For the 20 yrs.+ that I have been a fan I attended many different kinds of parties, events, private celebrations etc. for our beloved Freddie's birthday. Ever since he's not among us (and nevertheless I grew much more older now) I still carry the tourch by creating something special for every 5th of September. Last year, I spent 4 hours in the kitchen preparing a giant raspberry cake for instance. This year, I arranged a fancy dinner in a nice restaurant with fellow Queenies. I was wondering, how do you mark 5th of September just because I am sure you all do. Btw, to tell the truth I appreciate 5th of September much more then I appreciate my own birthday :))))

Nice!
I'll be raising a glass (or maybe a can) or two, or three to mark what would have been his 62nd. What do they say about only the good die young - I don't think Freddie would have been too keen on growing old - not really his style when you think about it. Some people are born to shine bright but unfortunately not for as long as some of us.

That was good, as I would be 2, as every September 5th, but with cans (beer) though, and maybe a glass of champange.... lol,
Happy Birthday Freddie!

Moi? Drinking Cosmos like they've gone out of style. Oh, wait--they HAVE gone out of style. No matter, they are still fabulous and pack quite a kick. Avery, please be a darling and pour me another Cosmo, will you please? And pour one for yourself while you're at it.
Cheers Freddie we all miss you like crazy.
Xs and Os
I dimmed the lights in my room, and had The Great Pretender on repeat. And I did dirty things to myself for a very long time while looking at my photo of Mary Austin.
Donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, I listened to nothign but Queen as we all did, and I also watched a few interviews just to hear his speaking voice and see his face when hes off stage. Ask me what I do on November 24 as a tribute and you will surely get a more interesting answer from me.
Listening to his Queen and solo songs.
Wearing my Queen shirt and sweater today.
Watching part of Wembley.
Having Feel Like Makin Love in my head all day (for his love of Paul Rodgers)
Going to school and talking about him a lot.
and some other stuff.
I think there is plenty to celegrate. If he wasn't born we wouldn't have Queen, Bohamian Rapsody, etc.
In guess I celebrate by being thankful to God for having created such a genious that brought so much joy to so many people.
By the way, today September 6th is my birthday.
