I know I promised you that this year will be uploaded to mediafire, but mediafire have completely f*cked up the uploader and it doesn't work for me. I've tried both the new flash uploader and the "old" uploader, none of them work, so EVERYTHING is on rapidshare. 1982 was the year of the famous Hot Space album, which is a "favourite" of most of the fans. It wasn't heavy enough, but all the concerts WERE pretty wild and heavy. I've chosen my personal favourites for this upload - 1982/04/12 Drammen, Norway - 1982/04/28 Frankfurt, Germany - 1982/05/09 Leeds, UK - 1982/07/28 New York, USA - 1982/10/19 Fukuoka, Japan - 1982/10/20 (probably) Fukuoka, Japan - 1982/10/29 Sapporo, Japan |

12. April 1982 Drammen, Norway (Star remaster of a 1st gen copy)
Taken from the readme file Queen Live In Drammen 1982 Flac Lineage: Master > 1st Gen Cassette > WAV > CDR (x) > WAV > FLAC level 8 > WAV > Har-Bal > Wavelab > WAV > FLAC level 8 Flash's Theme The Hero Tie Your Mother Down Action This Day Play The Game Somebody To Love Staying Power Get Down Make Love (cut) Now I'm Here Dragon Attack Guitar solo Now I'm Here reprise Under Pressure Love Of My Life Save Me Fat Bottomed Girls Freddie speaks Crazy Little Thing Called Love Death On Two Legs intro Bohemian Rhapsody Liar Another One Bites The Dust (cut) Sheer Heart Attack We Will Rock You We Are The Champions God Save The Queen **As always, I have restored/remastered this FOR MY OWN USE. I hope the community sees it as enough of an upgrade to want it, but if you don't like it, please don't download it. I have corrected the equalisation with Har-Bal, then applied high- and low-pass filters with a Waves Renaissance 2-band eq and brought back up to level (-0.2dB) with a Waves L3 limiter in Wavelab. No dynamic range has been lost, and there is a significant increase in the peak-to-average ratio. I have removed the digi-noise at the beginning (and end?) and created new fades. Where there were cuts in the audio I have crossfaded one piece into the next, leading to smoother (though not perfect) results. I have re-tracked the songs and corrected the balance between left and right channels. Very few eq boosts were used, and...NO DENOISERS!! ** Enjoy.A big thanks to Stark and of course to the original sharer of the original source ! The second concert is another fantastic concert -
28. April 1982 - Festhalle, Frankfurt, Germany
A small warning - Freddie uses the "f" word too much :-)
Also there is something strange about the frequency analysis. Audiochecker reported is as MPEG, but I don't agree. There is no frequency drop at 16kHz, but all the frequencies start to exponentially drop at around 12kHz. Maybe a bad tape transfer ? What do you experts think ?
As taken from the readme file Date : 28. April 1982 Venue: Festhalle, Frankfurt, Germany Band : Queen Lineage : AUD > master > low gen > CD > WAV > FLAC Tracklist : Disc 1: 1. Flash 2. The Hero 3. Tie Your Mother Down 4. Action This Day 6. Play The Game 7. Somebody To Love 8. Liar 9. Love Of My Life 10. Save Me 11. Get Down Make Love 12. GUitar Solo Disc 2: 1. Under Pressure 2. Fat Bottomed Girls 3. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 4. Back Chat 5. Bohemian Rhapsody 6. Now I'm Here 7. Dragon Attack 8. Now I'm Here (reprise) 9. Another One Bites The Dust 10. Sheer Heart Attack 11. We Will Rock You 12. We Are The Champions 13. God Save The Queen "Hello Frankfurt. How do you do you motherfuckers ?" "I must say every time we come to Frankfurt you fuckers are wild" "You wanna hear it. You don't wanna hear it ? If you don't wanna hear it fucking go home" :-) Review from queenlive.ca Single-camera pro footage of three songs from this concert were shown on a TV special on the band called "Musik Scene": Flash, The Hero, and the last half of Tie Your Mother Down. After his first line of The Hero, Freddie is seen throwing a giant hat back into the audience. Part of We Are The Champions from the May 12 concert in Vienna was also shown on this special. Before Staying Power, Freddie asks the audience if they want to hear songs off the newly-recorded album. "The damn thing, you wanna hear it? You're gonna hear it." There is a mixed reaction, and Freddie replies, "If you don't wanna hear it, fuckin' go home!" This classic speech inspired the title of a bootleg of the show. This is the last performance of Liar in its entirety. The band decided to focus closely on their more recent material, as they had brought Back Chat into the set, and would soon introduce Body Language as well. Part of Liar would be resurrected for the Works tour as part of a medley of older songs. Contrary to what some sources may report, there was no second night in Frankfurt on April 29. If there was, the first picture most likely would have read "28 & 29.4" Review from queenbootlegs.nl Very nice concert from Frankfurt 1982 during the Hot Space Tour. The sound quality is Excellent and very enjoyable! It has tape speed problems as the pitch is runs too fast during the whole recording. Some parts are faster than other parts. The name of the bootleg comes from a speech from Freddie before the start of Staying Power. There is one very small cut almost at the end of Now I'm Here (Reprise). I think the tape was running out, but otherwise complete concert. Very nice Back Chat Intro to Bohemian Rhapsody and wonderful performances of Action This Day and Liar. Please IGNORE ALL the comments about the speed ! THIS RECORDING RUNS AT THE CORRECT SPEED !!!! The next recording is a little gem - a 1st gen copy of Leeds from 29. May 1982 featuring a radio interview !
As taken from the readme file ANNOUNCE: 29.05.1982 Leeds, UK 1ST GENERATION COPY FLAC 29 May 1982 Venue: Elland Road City: Leeds Country: UK Quality: VG+/EX- Lineage (concert) : AUD > mastertape > cassette > WAV > CDR(x) > EAC > WAV > FLAC (Flac frontend level 8) Lineage (interview) : Radio > Vinyl > WAV > FLAC > WAV > Cool Edit Pro (hum removal, speed correction, LP cracks removal) > WAV > FLAC Interviews : 1. God Save The Queen Comment: 1st generation copy, quality varies between VG+ and EX-. One of the best performances during the Hot Space tour IMO. In Staying Power, Freddie sings Fucking Power instead. Tracklist is the same as Milton Keynes. DO NOT SHARE THIS IN ANY FORM OF LOSSY FORMAT (WHICH MEANS MP3, WMA, OGG ETC.) Convert to lossy only for personal use. If this gets shared in any form of lossy format I will stop sharing. Lineage should always be included as information in trades. Please note 2 things - 1) I have remastered the interview which was shared here 2) Yesterday I've received an PM that a Mediafire upload is being prepared, but I can't reply to PMs. So in the case that you prefer mediafire, download only the interview from rapid and for the rest wait for the mediafire upload. The interview is in the first file. link link link link link link link link |

And the last recording for this year comes from a recently shared show
29. October 1982 - Sapporo, Japan
Queen Sapporo, Japan Hokkaidoritso Sangyo Kyoshinakaji October 29, 1982 This is a mix of two bootlegs from this show to create what seems to be the definitive version. The bulk of it is from the "Live In Japan 1982.10.29" (BGS) silver, and the gaps are filled in with "Hot Space In Cold Place" (Breakdown). The former is from a pre-LP tape, and its sound quality is truly excellent. About 1:30 is added to beginning of show from the Breakdown version, as well as Love Of My Life, Get Down Make Love, Body Language, Under Pressure, and Tie Your Mother Down. I have sped up the Breakdown version 1/3 of a semitone, and brought the volume down 30%. Lineage: Live In Japan 1982.10.29" (BGS) silver > WAV (EAC) > FLAC (Frontend level 8) > WAV > FLAC (Frontend level 8) "Hot Space In Cold Place" (Breakdown) > CDR (x) > WAV > GoldWave (pitch/speed correction, volume adjusted) > FLAC (Frontend level 8) Disc 1: 1. Flash (intro) 2. Rock It 3. We Will Rock You (fast) 4. Action This Day 5. Play The Game 6. Calling All Girls 7. Now I'm Here 8. Put Out The Fire 9. Dragon Attack 10. Now I'm Here (reprise) 11. Love Of My Life 12. Teo Torriatte Disc 2: 1. Get Down Make Love 2. Guitar solo 3. Body Language 4. Under Pressure 5. Fat Bottomed Girls 6. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 7. Death On Two Legs (intro) 8. Bohemian Rhapsody 9. Tie Your Mother Down 10. Another One Bites The Dust 11. We Will Rock You 12. We Are The Champions 13. God Save The Queen Distribute these files only if they are left completely unaltered. This recording should not made available at Queenzone or elsewhere in mp3 or any other lossy format. Enjoy! Sir GHA huge thanks to Masahiko for sharing the original source and to SirGH for creating this compilation ! This compilation was shared here not so long ago, so if you don't like rapidshare, mediafire links could be still active, just try to find the thread. I remember having downloaded this concert somewhere down the line, but I'm not sure whether I kept it in the HD - I use to listen to a particular concert up until exhaustion and then I delete it from the HD I use at school, which has more space but it's not mine! Well, I'll see whether it's still there. In case it is, I upload it for you, it's no problem. Anyway, there are plenty of people who can help you with this, I think, so I'd say to you: "All right, all right, ohhh...everything's gonna be fucking well all right". Ha! What concert does this intro come from? Tip: it's one of the 1982 concerts. Now it got easier. And the intro is a beautiful melodic line, by the way, which Freddie used as a piano study or exercise not really to introduce, but to hint at "play the game" at times, or even "somebody to love" - the line, and its variations, can be detected throughout the performances of the songs and even in some of live renditions of staying power (I love the live versions of this song). Very well-tought up intro, though in this particular concert he added some peculiar lyrics to it and shifted the key, probably to suit the lyrics... It reminds me a bit of some classical tiny piano pieces composed only to show a certain kind of composing method, the mastering of some challenging harmonics or, which is Freddie's case, as amusing suites to relieve the audience, so to speak, between the larger pieces featured in the recital or to create expectation for the real thing yet to come. |
