Gay iconography? The T-shirt was maybe a statement by Freddie .It says Mineshaft, one of Freddies favourite clubs. Click below for information on the mineshaft private members club of the late 70's in New York.

I cant upload the T-shirt image here is a link for it

Mineshaft website.

18.08.2008 18:52 hah! very cool!
I thought it might say something like "ganesh"(based on the "ENESH" that is visible).
Another possibility was a biker theme, circa The Game era.
But "Mineshaft" is clearly the right answer.

22.08.2008 06:00 Why would Freddie wear a T-shirt from a GAY club? One of Roger's pranks no doubt.
"Here Fred, I bought you this nifty T-shirt when I went on a tour of the coal mines in West Virginia."
"Oh, thanks Rog, this is fab. Can't wait to show Mary."
