Check out the little video preview on the HMV site here: link
Seems a bit pointless when you already know that it's available to pre-order as you're on the product order page!!!
p.s Message for the mods in charge - do you think it's worth having the Queen & Paul Rodgers Tour section of the Forum split into three sections now; 2005 QPR Tour section, The Cosmos Rocks section, and the 2008/09 Tour section?? (Easy for me to say as I don't have to do the work!!) :-)
I wouldn't call it shameless it's called marketing and as for placement for the vid on the HMV site this will be down to some backroom hmv web designer not Brian - so what's your point? People whinge if they don't promote the new album and as soon as they do we get comments like this.
I'm sure I could come up with a further set of postings for this thread that will now follow: Ow look Brian's gone all commercial - they are just money grabbing b*****ds aren't they?
And from the other side of the fence - we never get any promo material for the new record -it'll never sell.
I'm open to everyone having an opinion but boy do people take to extremes on QZ.
How about a more positive comment of ah look some good promotion for the new record - hope they do some more.
Here's a challenge - how about all QZ posters have to post at least two positive comments for each negative one they post.

Hi cmsdrums
Thanks for the great link; wouldn't have found this without your help. If you come across any more please feel free to share. Keep up the good work! Hope you are looking forward to the new release as much as the reast of QZ :-)

Great idea about the split for the QPR content - can we add some kind of content filter for the new setup to keep out anything with the remarks 'but without Freddie' in them please as well - thanks.

Seconded.
People love to follow double standards here. It's bullshit.

Split personalities combined with double standards, my friend :-)

Seems a lot of people here really don't have a life, so to speak. So they MUST get some kicks!

Ohhhh, I think it's too much for these babies.
They can barely muster one 100% positive comment a year as it is.
I totally agree with you, Hitman1965.
For me it's weird how people with a musical taste for Queen (a band open to new rithms, looks, etc., that changed so many times...) are SO narrow minded with the new stuff. These kind of things makes me wonder if these people actually understand the music or just make from Queen loyalty some kind of stupid way of living. I see this with young people, particullary, and I would like to see what they would say if they were back in 1982 when hot space appeared or something like this...
To me, it's really positive that they're actually promoting this album. I'd be rather proud as a fan to see them charting in my country now that they don't have Freddie's "help". And without promotion, who else other than Queen fans and PR fans will buy the album? ;)
Remember how they failed miserably to sell out the North American tour in 2006? It'd be rather sad if they let something like that happen again.
Well i can definitely say that I am actually really pleased that they have recorded such little advertising plugs, and am so looking forward to the album and tour!!

Great to hear it - must admit the HMV site could at least get Brian to say the correct URL he says .co.uk when the site is really .com Even though Brians got a very interesting website I get the feeling he's not 100% comfortable with everything net related, you just have to see his thoughts about social networking etc. Anyway the way I see it any promotion is good promotion. Wish they would come up with an advert similar to this one: link I personally find it really funny.
