Have you ever noticed... on SAVE ME
| Queen Archivist 07.08.2008 19:37 |
Have you ever noticed (and I only know coz Brian told me once, and I was staggered to have never spotted it myself, given that it's one of my favourite tracks) that just before the start of the final chorus of Save Me, if you listen extremely extremely carefully, with headphones on... Hang on... I think there's someone downstairs. I need to go investig.... |

You mean the edit point, right? If you don't mean that I have no idea what else it is you hear :D |

Funny you mentioned this Greg. I noticed that Save Me seems to have a different mix on The Game. This is most noticable for the lack of flanging effect on the vocals. I notice it most on the line "start again with somebody new..." Am I right that a different mix was used for the single? The single mix is on the original EMI Greatest Hits LP & CD. |

He means the bit just before Freddie starts singing again, you can just hear the doorbell ring and someone shout, "Fred, Paul Rodgers is hear to see you about something" It's very difficult to make out though. |

He retrieved some HIV from Holly Johnson and secretly injected Freddie in his sleep so he could take his place. That's it! Case closed. |

No, I think you will find that Paul simply lived next door and he was fed up with Freddie keeping him awake at night, so he came round with the final verse |

Hey! You forgot to tell us: "Wait. I'll be back in a minute". Anyway, perhaps you are talking about Fred's high-pitched 'screams'!? |

Just Greg being bored. How many of you actualy got out your headphones? |
| Markman38 08.08.2008 10:48 |
Yes Greg I've heard it too thanks for noticing |

Theres an obvious edit point in Sail Away Sweet Sister. Listen to the start through headphones you will hear Brian sing 'hey little babe your changing'...then there is an edit point before'babe are you feeling sore' no doubt from a different take you can hear it on the vocal clearly |

Also on the beginning of WWRY you can hear someone say, 'Aww'. That's what it sounds like. |

And towards the end of the chorus in 'We Are The Champions', if you listen carefully, you can hear more voices behind Freddie. It's as if there was a group of people behind him, singing the same words but with different notes... it's bizarre... |

On Breakthru' you can hear Freddie say "Plump vagina smells yummy" if you play parts of the solo in reverse!!! |

In Teo Torriatte, with head phones, when Freddie sings "dream on", you can hear "dream on, dream on, dream on..." in the back. And also Roger counting 1-2-3-4 on Tenement Funster (I think it was on that song). Are there more of this background sounds people have noticed? |

It is my sad duty to report to you all that Greg Brooks didn't make it. He went downstairs to find a couple of illegal migrant orange pickers going thru the Queen Archives. They left quite a mess. Reports are sketchy, but Greg appeared to have been drawn and quartered in the typical Scottish tradition. I think he would have been proud. There was an open pint of Guiness present, so I guess he went pretty peacefully. Massive warrants have already been issued, but these are the main suspects. John S Stuart - Revenge for previous digs and slags, and really poor suggestions for the middle initial "S". YourValentine - Obviously, she didn't want to be his Benn - Greg's last nemesis... that we know of. Brian May - Report are that he might have just snapped. Fatty - Just because we'd like to hear his stories from prison Zebonka - Has a prior for unsucessfully breaking into the Queen Archives. Ended up in Bananarama's. The Fake Greg Brooks - identity theft Freya - meh Arlene Weiss - lover's spat Treasure Moment - Found out that Greg's non musical skill surpassed his. |

What I noticed is that in the last part they replaced the dove for a duck |

I have to listen to more Queensongs with my headphones on :-) The only background I ever noticed is on Dragon Attack. You can heard that Freddie had the Bass on his headphones and that leaked a little bit on the moments he isn't singing and was left out of the final mix in which he sings is without the bass.. But proberbly you all heard that one before :-) |
