So it's time for a hammer to fall and for another year of "Best Of The Best" series. In the last years I have uploaded much more concerts then I originally planned. The original plan was to upload 2-3 concerts of each year, which have really excellent quality & performance, instead of it I started to upload every good sounding recording from my collection. This time I've chosen to upload 3 great representatives of the beginning of the eighties - 17. February - Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 28. February - Buenos Aires 20. March - Sao Paolo Again most of the files are on rapidshare, only the last parts are on mediafire. I promise that I'll try to upload the other years to some free servers for all of you who don't have a rapishare account. And as last time, every concert will be in it's own post |

Soundquality: Excellent- Taper: Unknown Lineage: Unknown (AUD > ... > CDR(x) > WAV > FLAC Level 8) Tracklisting: Disc 1: 01 - Intro 02 - We Will Rock You 03 - Let Me Entertain You 04 - Play The Game 05 - Mustapha 06 - Death On Two Legs 07 - Killer Queen 08 - I'm In Love With My Car 09 - Need Your Loving Tonight 10 - Rock It 11 - Save Me 12 - Now I'm Here 13 - Dragon Attack Disc 2: 01 - Love of My Life 02 - Keep Yourself Alive, Brighton Rock 03 - Flash, The Hero 04 - Crazy Little Thing Called Love 05 - Bohemian Rhapsody 06 - Tie Your Mother Down 07 - Another One Bites The Dust 08 - Sheer Heart Attack 09 - We Will Rock You 10 - We Are The Champions Review: Great soundboard recording from the first night in Buneos Aires 1981. It was broadcasted live on the radio in Argentina. The soundquality is almost Excellent. The only thing is that there is some tape hiss and it has too much bass in my opinion, but nothing bad actually. The song Dragon Attack has a fade out, so Now I'm Here(Reprise) is missing. Same as the song Fat Bottomed Girls and God Save The Queen are also missing, so this is not the complete concert. Rare performance of the full song Rock It. A release from gypsy eye label. Very enjoyable concert.Download links : link link link link link link |

And the last concert for today is again something special - a multi-source compilation of best sources done by myself a few months ago.
Big, big thanks to josedequeso, SirGH and ruth.olivier for providing me my source material !

Band : Queen Venue : Estádio do Morumbi, Sao Paulo, Brazil Date : 20. March 1981 Recording type : multi-source compilation Following is a "slightly chaotic" description of this compilation The original audio (from the original TV broadcast) had a couple of gaps. I have filled the gaps with the 1984 rebroadcast (if I remember correctly I've used the full intro from it, and WATC / God Save The Queen). It still had some small gaps between songs and there was a fade out/fade in effect between Tie Your Mother Down and Another One Bites The Dust. Fortunately the video had these small bits, so I have added them where they belong. The compilation of these 3 sources was my "version 1". But them Olivier shared on QueenZone "Morumbi Stadium 81" which has the best sound, but it's incomplete. So I have taken the songs which ARE on this bootleg, and they replaced the songs on my "version 1". This is the "version 2". So from memory it should be something like this WWRY fast, LMEY, PTG, STL, Save Me, NIH, Dragon Attack, NIH (reprise), FBG, LOML, KYA, solos, Flash, The Hero, CLTCL, BoRhap, TYMD, AOBTD, SHA, WWRY, WATC and GSTQ are from "Morumbi Stadium 81", the full intro from the 1984 rebroadcast and the rest from your 1981 broadcast. Tracklist: -========- Disc 1: 1. Overture 2. We Will Rock You (fast) 3. Let Me Entertain You 4. Play The Game 5. Somebody To Love 6. I'm In Love With My Car 7. Get Down Make Love 8. Need Your Loving Tonight 9. Save Me 10. Now I'm Here 11. Vocal Improvisation 12. Dragon Attack 13. Now I'm Here (reprise) 14. Fat Bottomed Girls 15. Love Of My Life Disc 2: 1. Keep Yourself Alive 2. Percussion Solo 3. Guitar Solo 4. Flash's Theme 5. The Hero 6. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 7. Bohemian Rhapsody 8. Tie Your Mother Down 9. Another One Bites The Dust 10. Sheer Heart Attack 11. My favourite show from 1982 is Leeds 29/5. For me the best show of the year. Loads of energy and a crazy audience. Another brilliant show is NY 28/7. The best US Hot Space show. 24/10 is nice aswell because it shows a different side of Queen, very laid back and with a few references to other songs(spread your wings, saturday night's...,..) There are many truly incredible recordings from 1982. |
