I think that the song is a grower and after listening to the studio version for the first time i realise how good Paul sings on it! But the problem i have with it is, the fact that i has a weak chorus! what do u think of the album version?? |

First of all, it's not the album version. It's the single version as noted in the album club. Secondly, although it's your opinion against mine, I think the chorus is kind of catchy. It's not their best, but then again, what is their best? Overall, I must say the studio version is quite good. |
PieterMC 04.08.2008 14:12 |
It's grown on me. Not the best thing they have ever done, but not the worst. |

I managed to get a good wav rip from the album club, burnt on a data cd and ... I've been in my car for the last 30 minutes listening to the song over and over again !!! :) Yeah, it's good, quite good!! it's powerful, and Paul rocks, as does Rog at the drums and some guitar details by Bri. Even the bass sounds good, wich has been a serious concern for many of us! When talking about the weakness of the main chorus, I think it is done intentionally in the first one, as there's a remarkable break in the song wich maybe produces this weakness sensation. But If you listen to every little detail of the song (and there are many!) you feel it grow faster and faster inside you. Yes, now it is for real: CAN'T FUCKIN' WAIT for the album, the single, the tour and whatever they deliver to us !! |

When I first heard C-Lebrity on the Al Murray show, I was very disapointed with it. However, I really began to appreciate the song, and felt it had the classic Queen trademarks while still remaining fresh and current. The studio version is really refreshing, and I love all of the 'hidden' sounds that linger within the music. The only part I'm not sure on is the audience sound effect that occasionally crops up. Maybe it will grow, but I just find it a bit unecessary at the moment. If the band makes a video for this single, I think it's got some hit potential. C-Lebrity has rejuvinated my confidence in Queen. After the disastrous 'The Call', I was worried that Brian and Roger had lost it. They've proven me wrong. |

Musically, it's a classic Queen rocker, but I still can't stomach the lyrics. Why do Queen sing about people who should be well below their radar? It's like writing a protest song about dog shit in streets. |

Pretty good track...better now that I am awake after waking up at 430 am to hear it the first time....definitely rocks!! Wish Brian did a longer guitar solo though....and don't care much for the audience samples...otherwise a great rocker! |

Well considering I've listened to it back-to-back like 6 times in a row, it must be good! Man I so RARELY do that with music. However I'm still bitter than the live "Fire & Water" has been relegated to vinyl and digital packages and not as the b-side to this single. |
QueenSite 05.08.2008 02:45 |
I didn't like it when I first heard it in april, but I think this studio version is good and it's a grower. Thumbs up |
Raffy 05.08.2008 06:42 |
For me the live version is better of the single version... is more rock and good than the official version! |

Grantcdn1 06.08.2008 06:35 |
Yes there is actually other Roger elements in there too....ie the Chorus sound is a little reminiscent of the Cross Put It All Down to Love and the repetitive bit at the end is similar to the end of London Town C'mon Down Overall this song just keeps getting better every time I hear it - I LOVE Roger's drum sound and his playing lately...good and heavy - reminds me of tracks like White Man....This song is a scorcher with a catchy enough riff and chorus that I am humming it all day |

I dig it. As has everyone I've played it for, really. Even non-fans. |
Libor2 06.08.2008 08:41 |
Well, it's fine song. Although nothing special for me just now. The fact is I listened to it only for two or three times. I'll wait for the whole album... Anyway, the lyrics theme isn't my cup of tea, and there should be more Bri's guitar (meaning longer solo). Maybe the album version will add more of this. Despite of my rantings, overall I like it. |
Serry... 06.08.2008 13:20 |
Better than "Yeah". |

I'm not keen on the crowd samples. I'd say the single version, overall, does sound better than the Al Murray verion, though. |
Voice of Reason 2018 07.08.2008 06:43 |
I haven't heard it since Al Murray but I can still remember the chorus. I guess that means it's catchy! |
Libor2 07.08.2008 08:25 |
Well, the refrain is catchy, but in fact it disturbes me a little. It seems to me like if it's from another song, it slows tempo of this rocking track. Hmm, like if in TYMD would be in every refrain some slow inserted piece... But maybe it's only matter of time. |
ingosuntken 07.08.2008 09:27 |
After listening to the studio version for the last days I think they didnt play live at the al murray show! I think it was playback. For me there isn't a difference between both versions. |
