Dont you think he's gone a bit too far with the old Vodafone slagging off?? Discuss! |
PieterMC 22.07.2008 10:45 |
His rants are getting a little old. His Soapbox makes him look like he miserable, which I am sure is not the case. |
thomasquinn 32989 22.07.2008 10:49 |
You know what else is getting old? Topics ranting about Brian ranting. Ironic, ain't it? |
steven 35638 22.07.2008 11:14 |
I second that. It is ironic. |

Makes me wonder who's next in his black list. |
Lester Burnham 22.07.2008 12:14 |
Next thing you know he'll be complaining about the cricketyness of his rocking chair. "Makes too much noise! Rah! I hate stuff!" |

How long will it take before Vodafone will soponsor QPR's next tour and Brian will put all his 'issues' aside? |

Picture this...in an ideal world.... "Bri" using his soapbox to talk to the fans about the music he makes...an insight into the process and how they are planning for the tour etc. Yes - I know - its HIS soapbox and he cant talk about whatever he wants...Maybe one day Brian will read Sir Ian McKellens website and see what kind of online ramblings the fans really enjoy |

I'm not bothered by him. He bitches no more than I do, so I can't really fault him. |

These ranting threads about Brian's ranting are getting old. However, if my phone message service changed to how he says his has, I'd be livid! And since he's someone who needs a good/fast message service, he's so right to question what Vodaphone have done. Also, if it is costing more money to hear the messages back, that's even more of a concern. Well done to Bri for highlighting this. Adam. |
coops 22.07.2008 21:16 |
Think Vodafone might respond to his rants? Probably. He helped the slaughter of Hedgehogs, and can make a lot of people aware of problems they might otherwise not be. Could you and I do that? No. Rants can be constructive and positive. Think of them this way and you will not find them irritating. If you do, DONT READ IT. |
pittrek 23.07.2008 04:43 |
Would you be so nice and stop these anti-Brian threads, please ? |

JasonMack wrote: "Bri" using his soapbox to talk to the fans about the music he makes...an insight into the process and how they are planning for the tour etc.I don't think he'll ever do that (except reply to the occasional spot-on question) because he seems to think that the creative and "productive" process has to remain as private a business as possible. |

Guys, remember, he isn't posting his rants on the news or music-related parts of his site, he's posting them on the SOAPBOX.
A soapbox is a raised platform on which one stands to make an impromptu speech, often about a political subject. It is also used to express concerns or to release frustration, and can often simply serve to stroke the egos of the shrill and self-important.Source: link |

Raf wrote: Guys, remember, he isn't posting his rants on the news or music-related parts of his site, he's posting them on the SOAPBOX.Excellent point, Raf. It's the thing most people forget about Brian's site. And it never ceases to amaze me when people start these kind of threads complaining about what he's "ranting" about now.A soapbox is a raised platform on which one stands to make an impromptu speech, often about a political subject. Everyone complains...he just puts it where people can see it. I hate the useless, "this...call...was...left......at....." I actually find his complaining amusing to a degree. Sort of makes him more normal to me. |
john bodega 23.07.2008 20:11 |
Everybody complains on the internet, it's just how it works. You sit at a keyboard and all of a sudden it's 2nd nature to pick on whatever is pissing you off at the time. We've all done it; Brian just has a way bigger bunch of readers than us. I'm sitting here imagining what some of you people would prefer to read on your heroes' blog. Hehe. |

Some of his "rants" are quite funny. I was very much amused by his frustration at not being able to find the then new Oatabix cereal in his local supermarkets a year or two ago. The things some people have to worry about eh? I wonder how many boxes of the stuff got sent to him? |
