Hi All,
could someone please post God SAVE THE QUEEN from Earls Court 77 as all the copies I've found are pretty .... to say the least.
If someone has it and wouldn't mind posting it that would be great 640x480 pal format.
I've got the rest of the show in great form and in seriously cool quality.
Just GSTQ is missing.
I need it from the part where Brian pick's up his guitar and shack's it up & down before Freddie says God Bless You All.
Nothing more nothing less.
Thanks for listening.
I hope someone is kind enough to do this little clip.
Wow, you're right! I just have the memory of watching my old VHS versions... and whenever I watched the better version, I'd turn it off after Jailhouse Rock, assuming the screen still went black. Haha!
In that case, for the topic starter, here's the complete second half: link
On my version it cuts outs after the RnR-medley.
You can see Roger hitting the gong and John bowing slightly, then it stops. There is no sound at all during this bit.
The video quality is really nice though. I believe it was a copy of the Miracle Express VHS.

But is that not the second half WITHOUT GSTQ? (ie snivlle remaster) I know the silver stallion version I have (which is not too clever) has still images over GSTQ, but you can just about make out what appears to be a glitter ball around the edges of the images.
Just to clear things a little :
For years one source of Earls Court was circulating.
It was pretty high-generation, the video was REALLY dark and some copies had the rock'n'roll medley pasted from the other night.
This VHS tape was COMPLETE including GSTQ, and it was transfered and shared here by YourValentine, first as a VCD, later as SVCD and the last time as DVD.
A few years ago another copy appeared in the collecting circles from "The Miracle Express". This one had MUCH better quality, and experts guess that it comes from a 2nd/3rd generation VHS tape. But it had 2 big problems - a repeating section during the rock'n'roll medley and missing God Save The Queen.
Snivlle used this version for his remaster, but unfortunately he kept the problems - repeating section and missing GSTQ, and used an ac3 mix.
When I did my remaster, I used his video, but synchronised it with a much better (but slightly different) lpcm mix, and I corrected the errors, and pasted GSTQ from the old dark source.
I know that a master tape copy is circulating, but I haven't seen it yet, even when I presume that the audio track used on my version comes from it, since it has much longer gaps between songs and no editiorial errors.
Thanks for clarifying Pittrek. So it would help the first poster (and me now!) if you could post that end bit you added. I already edited out the 20 second repeat and would like to finish it off properly.
I have "The Miracle Express" VHS which I picked up in 2006. The quality is far from great and looks like the source has been played one to many times (VHS degeneration on repeated play). It's extremely fuzzy. I am sure earlier copies look a lot better.
