Let me keep this short: Is it true that there was supposed to be another statue to be built in front of the University of London but was vetoed by Freddie's parents?
I think the plan was always to have one statue, but the city of London wouldn't allow it. That's why it ended up in Montreux. Nothing to do with Freddie's parents AFAIK.
