Just would be interested to know how long it takes for the new studio recordings to reach the 'Archives'
For instance, as Queen our currently finishing off a studio album, how long would it be before you get to hear the outtakes and unreleased tracks?
Would you have to go down to Roger's studio for example and collate it? or does it get shipped to an unnamed location for storage? I assume Roger for instance (and Brian too I guess) have multiple versions of tracks within thge four walls of their studios that never see the light of day? but I am interested to know when it comes to a new recording how long it takes before it is delivered to the archives.
Togg,
There would be no "shipping" involved. Given the nature of digital recordings, I'd assume that everything is available on a shared drive for those who need access to it. It'd be like accessing a file on your company's internal network.

Well I guess in theory that would be true, however I suspect it's not as hi tech as that..
I can't see Roger and Brian uploading material to a shared drive once done, in particular I can't see them doing that with outtakes. I suspect that someone will make copies on multiple formates of anything worth keeping, and that it then ends up being stored somewhere offsite as it were.
I am sure many emails and files will go back and forth between band members during the creative process, but I am interested to hear how and in what form the storage takes once done, other than person copies kept by the band.
