Too many people wanted to download Firefox3, which should be available for download from 19.00 central european time.
18:59 the server was moving slowly, and when I pressed F5 exactly 19:00 I got the HTTP message server unavailable :-) And now I press F5 every 5 minutes and I always get an blank page.
So I think we can call it a success :-)
They must be fine now... I was able to get it without a problem. So far I'm loving it. Seems much smoother in general and there's a noticeable difference in how quick it responds to things such as Gmail. I could live without the giant green 'back' button which I find distracting, but otherwise I'm impressed.
Yes, FF3 is MUCH faster and I'm currently using my standard 10 tabs, and I'm on 100MB. Yesterday with FF2 I was using some 350MB, so it's true, it takes less memory and goes much faster
