I'd really like to hear the complete 25/4/79 shows. Does anyone have the 'Dreamers ball' version from wardour. Freddie's voice was in very bad shape, would be interesting to hear the entire show:-)(given the fact it was filmed)thanks for this, despite Freddie struggling I just adore these japanese shows. They sound so energetic. The rest of the band are at the top of their game. |

Track09.wav: track looks like CDDA with probability 62%.I think it is NOT mp3 sourced. I have checked tracks one and two in CEP and there is a "gap" between 18 and 19kHz, an mp3 has this frequency drop around 16kHz. I have no idea what's with it, if it was ripped from a DVD, I would say it's from a high bitrate ac3. So, anybody has an idea what's with it ? |
Vali 06.06.2008 13:55 |
I say "amen" to what pittrek says ;) And I say thanks to Barbara for sharing this show!! |

Rzodek wrote: mp3 sourcedIf the sharer says it's directly from the silvers, then it doesn't matter if it's lossy or not. The point of checking to see if recordings are lossy is to check for human errors/actions (not errors/actions of bootleg companies) to ensure the best versions are circulating. As for this particular share, the given lineage of "Silvers > WAV > FLAC" can't possibly be any closer to the original unless the source tape is brought into the picture. |

Barb - What is the sound quality on this? |
YourValentine 08.06.2008 03:22 |
Mike, the sound is a bit distant which I personally do not enjoy that much. There is the usual screaming of a Japanese audience:) The first concerts has the better sound imo. It's not mp3 sourced, though as pittrek pointed out correctly. |

As for the whole lossy/lossless discussion ... this one simply came from a DAT tape, which may make it appear lossy. But it isn't. Lossless/lossy isn't a binary thing. There are many possibilities. Using crappy cables for a transfer can even result in lost frequencies. Anyway, hope nobody's downloading this copy anymore. This one's closer to the master: link |
