It was a nice service. Just family and a few select friends. The rest of the band sent a nice wreath signed "from Queen+Paul Rodgers - you were alright then and you're alright now"
John's retired, and no one knows exactly what he does or where he does it these days.
As for the "dead" jokes - Bowiegirl you're going to find that some folk here dont take kindly to people asking questions the answers to which are readily available on just about any Queen site, and indeed by using the "search" button for this forum - as a result they tend to make fun of people who ask these types of questions.
Not nice you might say, but I suppose if everyone who joined asked such questions the forum would be a constant stream of the same things being asked over and over again, and no one would ever care to answer anyway!
Best thing to do is to do a spot of research by searching older topics about John, which might turn up a bit, but really the answer is no one knows - because John doesnt want us to.
Obviously if you have a less generic question which isnt easy to find the answer to, you'll normally get at least one sensible answer on here, and there is a lot to be learnt from the folk - even Zebonka! :)
Dont take it personally.

I was wondering if this thread was getting a little mean, but this cracked me up really hard.
Have u heard of the Unabomber or watched Lord of the Rings??? John is either locked up somewhere or on a fellowship. Either one of them is a life term project, so don't wait with cookies and milk.
It's just the water cooler talk at the 'Incredible nonsense' magazine. Alien invasions and anorexic movie stars continue to steal the front page. so maybe one day, when dust settles, they'll run a cover on John titled 'what happened to his fro'

You just made my day, Mack...
that $#!+ was hilarious.
Was he buried under surplus copies of The Tour Tees?

IN FACT: after reading some of this replies i quite understand him....
Well, aside from the rudeness of suggesting he has "passed on", i don't think it's done with any malice.... I'd hope John has a certain sense of humor about it...but considering that Roger seems to have the oddest wit... that may not be so.
It's good to be remembered... even humorously.
(ALso: i DOUBT he even reads these posts.... this would be like the 40th Forum topic devoted to his whereabouts)
