Since the QZ tracker is not working I've uploaded this to Mininova.org using the pirate bay's open tracker here the notes: Queen Empire Pool London, UK May 13th, 1978. Quality: Good - Lineage: Unknown. Our lovely friend Ginger PM'ed me a couple of days ago cuz she wanted to know how to edit this show she got from the HUB in one single file. I've offered to edit it for her. So here it is, a nice performance, even tho sound quality for this show it's quite bad and incomplete, starting off with Somebody To Love and ending at the Guitar Solo. I've edited this using GoldWave 5.23, decompressing the single FLAC with Trader's Little Helper - tested for MPEG source and result is that this show is loseless 100%. I worked on WAV to speed up the process of trimming onto single tracks, I've also corrected the pitch. After editing, re-encoded to FLAC (level 8) using FLAC Frontend. No sector boundaries errors. Setlist: 1. Somebody To Love (6:49) 2. White Queen (As It Began) (6:03) 3. Death On Two Legs (4:05) 4. Killer Queen (1:56) 5. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy (2:22) 6. I'm In Love With My Car (2:07) 7. Get Down, Make Love (3:54) 8. The Millionaire Waltz (4:05) 9. You're My Best Friend (2:02) 10. Spread Your Wings (5:49) 11. It's Late (7:04) 12. Now I'm Here (4:35) 13. Love Of My Life (4:11) 14. '39 (3:30) 15. My Melancholy Blues (4:24) 16. White Man / The Prophet's Song Vocal Improvisation (7:58) 17. Guitar Solo (7:19) Total running time: 78 mins 13 segs Enjoy! Thanks to Ginger again for sharing this show with us, Queen fans. DO NOT FUCKING DISTRIBUTE THESE FILES AS MP3 OR ANY OTHER LOSSY FORMATS! |

I've made a mistake inside the Info.txt file and wrote May 15th instead of May 13th. This is the real date for this show: May 13th, 1978. |

Hi, Alex! First of all, thanks a lot for the share. I can't download it right now, but I'm sure going to, because it's a very interesting period in Queen's career. May I ask you something silly? I have been listening a lot to their concert in Berlin, 1978; I love "My Melancholy Blues" from this concert. Problem: I noticed some pitch issues and there's a whole of noise. I wanted to improve just a bit with GoldWave, but I didn't want to do it file by file, it takes too much time. Is there a way I can do the changes on the whole thing and then separate the tracks again? Anyway, thanks for the upload! |

Second, yes, it's possible to edit the whole stuff using Goldwave ;-) That's what I've done with several shows with speed problems (or EQ, noise, etc etc) The best feature to use in Goldwave it's the file merger, merge all the FLAC files onto one single WAV file which you can work on. Don't use the "export cue file" feature since they will misplace after you correct the speed probs if you know what I mean. I assume you know how to split onto separate tracks once you're done editing? Let me know if you understand what I tried to explain hehe I'm not very good trying to explain how to use these kinda apps. Good luck, girl ;-) |
