don't know if many people get this kind of humour, but i laughed my ass off... link
this man is a genius for also immitating john, paul, george and ringo, bowie, keith and all the others....
:-D
Having watched a few of his clips, I have yet to find him funny. The Freddie impression gets boring after the first time, his Roger Taylor is more like Shane Ritchie and his Ken Dodd is more like Keith Richard to be honest.
His Freddie really isn't that accurate. At first I found it a bit disturbing, infact I still do, but I have found myself laughing at him more.
His Beatles are really good, especially his Paul ("Dooo!") and Ringo. He can go over board with the "you know"'s with John, you know.
His George Michael is sublime, the community service sketch is his best.
I quite like his Bee Gees too. And his David Essex not only sounds like him but he looks like him too!
Hes from round my neck of the woods and apparently does the club circuit but I've never heard of him before.
Theres been talk of his doing a TV show. My thoughts are that his skecthes are better than his straight impersonations singing songs. But some of the skecthes can become limited and I'm not sure whether a show/series would work.
But a great talent none the less, entertaining guy to watch. Although I can do a better Noel Gallgher impression!
I was hugely impressed by Stevie Riks at first, and i still really love all the stuff, the Queen and Freddie things are AWESOME, but now, as much as i watch more his stuff, i start to notice that all the imitations are really some "repeated actions", same features that he shows, in different "situations". As a viewer i would expect something new in the impressions(some new personality details, i don't think it would be difficult for him to do it, just he has to sit and take time and watch again some performances and interviews and notice these things), maybe i'm too judgimental, but i think there's a risk i can be bored later with the impressions..XD
Although, despite everything, Stevie Riks really rocks, he's cool!!
finally some voices who share my kind of humour. thx.
my favourite is 'keith reading the news' although i didnt found the deacy-parody yet... :-D 'doooo!'
